Unlikely he is claimed a couple days before his arbitration hearing. I doubt GM's want to jump into that sort of thing unprepared. I'm sure Tre has a pretty good sense of this. When he most likely goes unclaimed, it gives Tre a pretty good argument for his value.

Meh, better young players coming in. Should have signed what he was offered.

Kulak is J-A-G

If they lose him they lose him. A lot better d-men in the system.

Shame to loose him on waivers.

Should be at least worth something.

But in the end there are better players that will need to play in the pipeline.

But not the greatest asset management if he gets claimed

Oh yeah, check back in a day for the doom and gloom about loosing Kulak and how we should not have spent the money on Neil.

Probabły just a negotiating tactic. Watch him go to Montreal, skip arb and take a 1.1x2, and they get a guy starting to step into their top 4 by January.

I agree 100% but the risk is two (rookies) playing as the third paring. So pairing Kulak with (insert prospect here) IMO is riskier than pairing them with Stone. Hey I',m not a Stone fan but weren't we talking about Stone as a "mentor"?

I bet Ottawa or Toronto or maybe Vancouver or the Islanders will take Kulak on Waivers.
