Not happening. Would love to see it though.

My guess is St. Louis...or Los Angeles.

Small market syndrome strikes again, it's too bad , Kekkaleinen pulled off a good trade, then this had to happen and i'm sure management is not shying away from giving him the big contract.

I doubt the problem is Torts, because if it is, Panarin knows he's on a one year deal.

Not sure if it is the small market as much as the yearly underachieving. The jackets have to find a way to rid themselves of Dubinsky before they could offer Panarian the raise he deserves given all the players that are due raises next year as well (Murray, Werenski, Bobrovsky)

Travel all the way to France for a 45 minute meeting...they never heard of phones? This is why tickets and jerseys are out of reach of the average family.

Kekalainen wanted to make it as romantic as possible in order to better "woo" Panarin to stick around. Apparently it may not have been enough.....

Everyone is missing the point!
Panarin’s best friend is in STL , Vladdy Tarasenko

Vladdy tried hard to get the Blues to sign him before the Hawks.

Panarin won’t resign anywhere but in STL.... BOOK IT!

Hmmm. Don't think I missed that....

I posted very early in this thread, Blues and Kings probably top 2 landing spots for the BREADMAN!!!

Hey guys - as an FYI, Breadman bought a condo in Miami !! I don't think you'd want to play in LA for 8 months when your condo is in Miami.

This would be an advantage for the CBJ, as Miami has much better pieces to trade than LA.

I'd hate to see Panarin go, but if he goes, trading with Florida would be a positive for the CBJ in the long run.

As a sign and trade I would like for Matheson to start off the trade talks.

Yes. And maybe at this point LA would be a lesser chance after inking Kovalchuk. My first guess would still be the Blues....but I am sure any of 6-7 teams would be scrambling to create the Cap room if he was willing to go there. He is one Hell of a skilled player!!!

Lots and lots of Russians on Washington. I wouldn't rule them out.

Can't blame Jarmo for anything, from what I can tell. Hold on to the guy and if it looks like no contract by trade deadline, ship him.

From a business standpoint, we're only paying him $6 million for a guy that is probably worth over $9 mil/yr on the open market. So CBJ is getting a bargain right now. He'll still fetch a good return at the deadline and CBJ can avoid the Tavares disaster scenario where you get nothing in return.

We're pretty well set on defense for the near future, I'm getting offense. I'd think JK would start with Huberdeau or Barkov, plus one of their top prospects (Borgstrom or Tippett). We'll need offense if Panarin goes.

Another reason why there shouldn’t be major league teams in minor league cities.

If i were to take a guess, hes playing the organisation. Ok he's open about telling them there's no interest in signing, but he's not telling them he won't go.

Probably holding out to see which teams hes interested in get going this season, then he'll come out & tell the Jackets he wants a trade to team 'x'. If that happens prepare for a lower return than expected.

If I'm the GM I ask him to give him some type of indication on what he's going to do & trade before game 1 of the season before he can kill any possible return.
