While overpaid i still believe Lucic could be a good player. He doesnt fit in Edm. He is too slow to keep up with McDavid. He isnt a guy who is going to make his teammates better but with skilled linemates that fit his type of play he could succeed. I dont see MTL being that place.

Maybe the habs aren’t interested... They just want to see what they can get from Edm if they take Lucic...

Mtl did not get a top center on the ufa and are now in rebuild... so maybe they just listen to see if they get a top prospect from edm to take that contract... if not, then no trade...MB have to listen just in case.
