It's possible but I probably wouldn't have them in a playoff spot as of now. Joey Anderson and/or John Quenneville are the best bets, I think. Yes.

I was hoping for a post this morning that says we acquired Yanni Gourde & Tampa's 2020 2nd rounder for taking on the contract of Ryan Callahan.

Both guys had break out years and I would think they're as likely to regress as they are to improve; meaning point wise. But they're both in their prime and are hard guys to play against. Since the rest of the team is so soft, I value what they bring a bit more. I'd be fine going two years on both if the cost is reasonable. Boyle's contract is done after this season and he'll be 34.

Wow. We're really below the floor? Had no idea. I'm really starting to get concerned here. Guess the Devils really believe in Joey Anderson and John Q. I really can't draw any other conclusion.

Coleman and Noesen are the type of role players a playoff team needs. As long as $s are resonable term should not be an issue

Gourde and a second would be a major disappointment.

Barring a major trade, which I don't anticipate, the playoffs are a long shot and would much rather a top 5 pick than a top 15 pick. Not prophet of doom here, just hoping for best possible outcome for Devs in long run.

Definitely possible and Shero is good with trades. The problem is Chicago wants him, they now have the cap space and they're in the west. So it's unlikely but not impossible.

Columbus seems to like trading with Chicago and the Rangers so I'd guess them.

But if you removed saad and debrincat they would just be an old team breaking down with terrible contracts. I dont think they can trade anything they have of value and improvedrastically unless they win a deal involving only picks going out. like what is panarin going to cost you and can they get it down with out giving up schmaltz or the cat ?

what are you accomplishing by posting this every day? You know Shero doesn't read this.

Also, our team went from garbage to barely making the playoffs on the back of Hall. I don't think anybody is arguing against that this is a one dimensional team. The long term approach is to improve through the draft and develop talent while adding some piece through trades/FA when needed. It's not like we were every going to contend for cups now just because we made the playoffs one year.
