Jan Levine: Rangers to hire Greg Brown as associate head coach Coach David Quinn starts to fill out his coaching staff

I had seen the rumor Tuesday night by Tom Urtz, Jr. of Blueshirt Banter, on Boston College associate coach, Greg Brown possibly joining the Rangers coaching staff due to his specific key roles there. In addition to his associate's role to Quinn, plus his WJC Tournaments experience with kids which include Skjei and Lindgren, I believe he was hired due in chief to the Rangers two biggest weaknesses of last season, in both the poor play of their defensemen and their special teams, which he specializes in.
Tom Urtz Jr. mentioned that Brown has been best known for mainly handling those two roles as an associate, including with those three Team USA, WJC Tournament teams dating back to 2014 as you also mentioned, Jan. I also agree with you in that Ruff is now likely in an "eye in the sky" role here for now, until possibly receiving a chance at some position on the bench again for likely another franchise.
