Well aside from their State of hockey ties, I'd love to see either or both in a Wild sweater.

Love Bjugstad's size and skill, however he has been fairly average in the scoring dept. But still would like him as the 2nd line center. Faulk is only a year older than Bjugs and is a seasoned offensive d man but with a little bit higher price tag, but not much.

Not sure what the offering would be for either of these guys.

Bjugstad's cap hit would be 4.1 million Faulks 4.8

I wonder if a straight up Spurgeon for Bjugstad would work?

I would love to see Faulk on the roster. And looking at your trade Gump, I could see that. But then who are you trading to get Faulk? I am guessing either a Nino or Zucker, with JEE taking their spot on the wing? Or are you thinking JEE and a prospect?

Not sure Nino alone would get that trade done. Maybe, but I think Zucker definitely would. Hate to see Zucker go, but this team needs change.

JEE is still to raw to really know what the Wild have with him, IMO. But I would rather see a Zucker or Nino go than to give up more prospects. But then again, losing Zuckers speed would be a major setback for this team offensively. Already have the likes of Colorado skating circles around them, I think if anything Fenton needs to worry about this squad getting slower.

So I guess my answer is about as clear as mud...

Tell you what, if that Sokolov turns out to be the sneaky elite goal scorer he sounds to be, dealing Zucker might not be all that bad if you could get a Faulk or Bjugstad in return.

But you just never know how these young guys are going to translate into the NHL game.

He played all 82 last year.

The Wild really need a guy like Sokolove to pan out. This team is desperate for a young sniper.

Sokolov is a year or 2 away from being with the Wild. His shooting is superb, but his skating and defensive prowess are pretty lacking from what I read about him. Then again, I haven't had the chance to give him the old eyeball test.

Guys can learn to skate better and play defense. Can't teach scoring.

Well he's 20 years old on a 3 year entry level deal. Hope he can make it to the big club by 2019

Well, if he lights up the AHL, he probably will.
