I'll still wear mine

Just won't be getting the funny looks as I wear it and grumble about the need to clear him from in front of our goalie.

Bill- When do they usually release the numbers for the new kids attending camp? Has there been an organizational change in assigning numbers since Hexy took over? I remember Coots was given #14 in his first camp which was a clear sign they had him pegged for the big club. Not sure if they assigned it early or gave it to him before preseason ended. Any insight? Any other examples? I know more recently most of the kids had to switch numbers after they made the team (TK, Provy, Patrick). Thanks.

I believe they have to wear their prospect number until they are officially announced to have made the NHL roster or even later if they are a tweener.

Draftees wear 70-99. Undrafted rookies wear triple digits

I think Vecchione was the highest paid Phantom last year, apart from Matt Read.

Bill, do you see anyone that can fill that 3c roll either in the farm system or FA. Also, after tonight I will have $650 in donations for the 50k bike ride Sunday to hopefully reach my goal of $1000 by Sunday. I urge all the followers you have on here to donate $10/$20 & you will not only get to your $1000 goal you will exceed it.

I for one am taking a firm stand that JVR should move back to 21 where he belongs.

Who would you consider the best college free agent in the last two decades? Not counting drafted players who failed to sign.

Bobby Boucher had a great shot but couldn’t find his overall game sadly.

Meh, he has been wearing 25 for the majority of his career and for most of his good years.

Among Flyers, Matt Read. Two seasons of 20+ goals, solid defensively even after the goals stopped coming.

Maybe Laughton fears 25 so he don't get traded like Cousins did.

It occurs to me there can be a lot of fanfare to these signings and mostly they become AHL/NHL swing players even the hyped ones.

Tyler Bozak and Matt Read have been two of the most successful ones I could come up with. They both carved out pretty good NHL careers for themselves.

No, that would shorten Giroux's career too much
