Saad usually puts up good numbers and had respectful numbers last year on a slow year. Only one player had more goals than Saad on the Yotes last year. - VANTEL Saad plays on a different line. Hinostroza mostly played third line and pp2. But did moonlight with Kane and Toews some of the time, but mostly played with smaltz (hence his average icetime being 12.5 minutes). So, yeah well see how he does for sure but he's a good player and his possession and individual offence creation stats are why Chayka targeted him for sure. It's not like he road shot gun. |

I'm still in debate on how I think the season will go. Upgrade in some places, down grade in others. Don't know how EP, QH or other rookies will do.
Just a ton of question marks. (goaltending, health, progression of youth).
Don't expect them to be a top 15 team but can't decide on whether they will be in the 16-23 or 24-31 range. - manvanfan
How about we are a team in a rebuild & expect to see the kids perform & get better. As for goaltending its passable atm.
As for health hockey is a tough & rigorous sport.
Standings are moot. More important that we see TG teach kids & vets be leaders.
As for draft position that takes care of itself & we can see us being in the bottom as long as we see hope & strides made. I can see TDL moves ahead for us or even sooner. |

Team defence should easier without the Sedin's. Team has to be better 5v5. - manvanfan
No doubt there |

That's pretty much how I see it, too.
There will be growing pains but the excitement of new players seeing some playing time should mitigate some of the poundings this team will take. I think they will finish bottom 3 this year but start getting stronger with each season after.
Hopefully only one more year of hating. - Marwood
My expectations start with TG in his 2nd season gets his system more in place. After that is where my curiosity leads me. How the kids fit in & the vets we got do i’m optimistic on. Idk how that translates into the standings & idc. What i need to see is JB’s draftees make us see REAL hope. Also LE & the D to get off the pot. |

I use to say Canucks gave up as many as they scored when Sedins played.Good offensively terrible defensively.
I think it could go either way . If players like Jake Bo and Brock improve then it won't be as bad as expected.
It could also come down to if Hughes signs then you might see more transition and breakouts from the back end. - VANTEL
If only our breakouts improve & the rush benefits it would be a great sign 👍👍

i am most intrigued by him over any other prospect we have.. - mauryballstein
Right. Hoping Lockwood has a bounce back year. My other would be Zhukenov. Those would be my three aside from this year's pool. |

I'm not going to project the team, but I could see Bo get 30+, Boeser 30+, and EP 25+ this season. hard to say what anyone else will do. JV/Sutter 15+ each maybe? - Retinalz
JV’s time to shine is upon him. Sedins gone will open up opportunity for him & Goldy. High time they walk thru that door. |

#penguins re-sign D Jamie Oleksiak to a three-year contract.
Deal runs through the 2020-21 campaign and carries an average annual value of $2,137,500.
I wonder what Stecher thinks of that - VANTEL
One is a tall pylon the other a good skater.
Apples n oranges lol
I’d take Stecher over Jamie any day.
Not saying much though is it lol
Stecher at 2/1.8smil i can live with. |

Another prospect I'm " jacked" about is Jack Rathbone. Another offensive Torey Krug type d-man. Set to play at Harvard. Probably 3 years away though. - Eldebrink
Yup. Jack needs a true top 4D to play with to compliment him. I like his potential but if not OJ idk who fits the bill yet. |

Rathbone, Lockwood, Zhukenov are the only prospects that have a real question mark beside them.
Other then the new guys. |

Give Stech Crosby & Malkin 😜😂
That pylon couldn’t crack the D in Dallas but Pens can use nearly any D. |

PM it to Makita. - Marwood
It would be funnier if you got CaptEO to PM it to him. |

Still doesn't change the fact that your fast skater had 1 goal 10 assists in 68 games. He has a muffin of a shot and is not great defensively |

I've invited Stetcher to the picnic. He will be the guest of honour at the halflings table. He will also be gifted the first swing at the Linden & Benning pinatas. |

Sounds like the next debate
What is more possible Tanev scores 8 goals in a season or plays an entire 82 game season? - manvanfan
Tanev scoring 8 . He will be a Leaf before the start of the season |

I have hope for Palmu and (Matuykan)( ) thanks to Debrincat, Atkinson, Zuccarello, Johnson.
Slightly less hope now that I see only 4 guys 5'8" and under did "well" this past season. (I thought there was a few more) |
