Columbus. the CBJ needs offense desperately, and he is a good fit for the team. What's the asking price? |

If he's a left handed reliever, the Cleveland Indians. |

I'm sure Tortorella would be thrilled to get his team USA whipping boy back.

Edmonton makes sense but you need a place to move Lucic's contract to. Do the islanders need to make the cap floor? Do they want lucic for a tank? |

We had a good run with Koivu. I guess we're back to trading them every 2-3 years now. |

Flames giving away all their tradable assets for a player that's in decline. No thanks!

Some people were used to guys like Gainey and Robinson who learned French and could communicate with fans, and media, and they expect guys playing here for a long time to do the same.
It's funny, though, because every time a player gets traded, or signs here, they always talk like "Oh, I will have to learn French", but then it doesn't take them long to realize they can go around here only knowing English without a problem.
It's not that important to me, it's a nice gesture of course, but I don't care about it that much. I can understand how it may be important for some people. |

that's actually a good question... I just hate his lack of physical implication and that he Casper the ghost come playoff time |

I can understand it being nice, but if the Leafs had an all star captain that could only speak Russian then I wouldn't care at all, so long as he's putting pucks in the net.
However, that attitude must have an impact on drawing free agents. Wasn't that a big issue with the Nordiques? |

Easy to understand why he has not been traded yet. There is no interest in him. None. |

I really doubt it's a problem. I think taxes and weather are the main hurdles. The market being a bit crazy is a factor, but I don't think it's that much different than Toronto. |
