The Rags are pretty much in full rebuild mode. I don't get why Karlsson would want to sign there right now.

He's getting close to a max deal wherever he goes. The money makes no difference.

The plan is to run four lines of McDavid-Karlsson, to minimize the risk of other players and contracts getting in the way. On defense, it will be Karlsson-McDavid; putting them on their opposite sides will throw everyone off. Talbot wins the Vezina, and Chiarelli is given the key to the city. Wayne Gretzky gets to say "(Frank)in' eh" on TV again.

I am starting to think the "C" on the Sens jerseys stand for "C" U later!
Yashin=gone, Alphie=gone, Spezza=gone, EK65=gone. Please someone put a "C" on Bobby Ryan! He is to blame for this EK mess. If he produced for the salary everything would be dandy

Not surprised Edmonton is lurking in background. Believe Karlsson would go to Oilers to play with McDavid. Draisaitl could be piece coming back.

But, how do you reconcile this with the fact Melnyk does not want to take back any salary.

Sens would be wise to take Karlsson off the market until Melnyk is gone.

Why's that? Seems some Leafs fans are extremely nervous about Tampa. Even without Karlsson I think Tampa would more then hold its own against Toronto.

ofcourse in the world of craziness, if Dorion did that, and tried to sit and wait, Eugene could fire him and take over GM duties to get it done..ego has no smarts

Ottawa is just holding an auction right now for Karlsson. They are weighing the offers and seeing if anyone thrown in more out of desperation. The origin for most of the rumors is probably the Ottawa Senators.

Leafs fans should be nervous about Tampa. Conversely, Tampa should be nervous about the Leafs.

The Rangers are not getting EK. The Oilers probably aren't either.

I feel like it's going to be a team out of left field at this point. There has been plenty of time for Tampa/Dallas to work out their best and final offers.
