The Islanders would be a helluva team if all these players you say, and have said, they’re in on.
And what....they never get the guy |

It's not like the Islanders should be attempting to get better in goal or defense. |

Islanders shouldn't be trading picks and prospects, which is what the Habs should be looking for |

they have lost a 80-100 points guy, they try to replace him fast, it make sens that they want to give prospect for 'Paching' :D |

It makes no sense, they lost their franchise player and they don't have an NHL capable goalie and a very weak D! That looks like a rebuild, much like in Montreal, trading picks and prospects for an aging UFA makes no sense... |

What does Vegas have to do with anything?
You just go off about something different claiming it proves something completely irrelevant to the original point... If you think it would be wise for a team like the Islanders to put together a package of picks & prospects to acquire a guy with no contract beyond this season then that's your deal, doesn't mean it makes sense though! |

PAcioretty will sign an extension with is new team thats why he's still a habs for now...
Ilslanders have good goal scorer coming in Wahlstrom and Bellows, they will be just fine, they didnt make the playoffs anyway so nothing will change... if they can add some scoring back at the right price why not ? you want them to struggle AGAIN another 5 years to rebuild ? they need to move on fast from that lost and telling players that the management are not giving up... that what make sens to me ! |

Oh I agree 100%, doesn't mean it won't happen at all, I was gonna mention that too... But to claim it would make sense is ridiculous... And yea, I hope the Habs would end up on the right side of this and get a proper return and not Leddy to make up for Weber's loss, which is a blessing if you ask me, Habs will be out of it by mid November |

Vegas had a star goalie and all 4 lines who played like 2nd lines. They also bought into the coach and system. It isn't all about have 1 top line and a good 2nd line with 2 stopped lines. Running 4 lines that are all capable of being 2nd liners with speed and some skill along with heart takes you to where Vegas did. They had some vets on there and even had a Cup winner multiple times. You are correct though that Vegas succeeded quite well without a big name star forward.

You're right, Pacioretty will sign an extension with NYI as soon as he's traded there, just like JT stayed... Another reason the Islanders would be stupid to make a move like that

Uhh Vegas didn't have a team of prospects....did they?
They had a team full of vets and castaways from other teams.
Vegas was nothing like the Isles or MTL |

Beauvillier and Bellows would be a fair return, providing Pacioretty will ink an extension. |

Pulock and a 1st... Habs will be looking for a 1st in this deal, does it make sense for the Isles to give up a 1st for a UFA? Considering it could very well be a lottery pick! |

The question is why would Pacioretty want to sign with the NYI? He is turning 30, hardly the age you would want to sign with a rebuilding team. Also you have no idea what you have coming. You may have 2 goal scorers coming, you may have 1, both may turn into nothing, better prospects have failed to transition into NHL players. |

dam you don't understand anything in this hockey world did you ? stop talking that he's a UFA... Patch agent will make sure that a deal can be done before he get trade... if your the GM of NYI you want to make sure that he's signing back or there is no deal... easy to understand in 'MY' head... |
