JJ is nearly a point per game player career in the playoffs. Not playing him was a stupid move by any coach and based on who his coach is this looks like something personal IMO.
Heres a graph to backup my assessment.

The thing about Columbus is if you poke them, from Davidson to Jarmo to Tortorella, they're gonna respond. All three of them have rabbit ears, telescopic vision and are thin-skinned -- they see and hear everything that is said about them
That doesn't mean the Pens can't say or do anything. Grown men do grown men things
But yeah. Don't expect CBJ to just sit back. Those dudes are sensitive |

There is that
There's a hint of "Now I'm dating the hot chick. Yeah, she looks good...gonna ignore all those indicators that she's a crazy chick because I'm dating her now. Everybody else was the problem"
Pens might want to actually get Johnson in uniform for a month or six and see what they're dealing with. But maybe that's just me |

So what, he wasn't exactly lying when he said it's nice to be in a winning culture. It is what it is. |

Does the haul Ryan O'Reilly just pulled in for buffalo make JR rethink maybe entertaining offers for Brassard? |

Those dudes have never won a playoff series. They shouldn't be so sensitive. |

Lol. He doesn’t have a clue. He hasn’t even taken to the ice with them. He’s talking out of his ass. As Frenchie says he’s not too bright. |

Yea haha maybe they should just worry about there own team. There's probably a reason behind Panarin not signing an extension and I have a feeling of what one of those reasons are. |

He doesn't have to be on the Pens.
Smiling through the whole interview 'cause he's now on a powerhouse team doesn't make him dim. Making a statement about his poor experience last year - which wasn't all that pointed - isn't dim either. Addressing the media with that much profanity in which young Blue Jacket fans are reading is very dim. |

That's right. Slava started playing more. And the Kings got Carter for JMFJ. 2012 Cup followed after that trade.
JMFJ was abysmal in his own end. |

I love Torts. Wears everything on his sleeve - even his underwear the dumb bastard.
Just going to love it when Panarin gets traded & comes out & says something they don't like - it will be the Russian translation I bet.
If Johnson was piss d about the way he was treated in Colombus, he should just wait & play well against his old team. Poking the bear isn't real smart. Looks to me like JR trying to justify his signing by criticising the old team as well.
It's going to be on like donkey Kong. Torts already can't stand the Pens, its hilarious. |

What does that have to do with The Jackets and Pens? He was on the king's like 6 years ago? Lol and the Flyers couldn't win with Richards and Carter then all of a sudden go to LA and can win? Please with your crap |

Yes. The Oilers had already won with their powerhouse before as well. I missed when the Kings went deep with JJ as their number 1, which he was since they traded for him.
Honestly, this isn't an attack on the Penguins. I don't get this vitriol. He just doesn't seem like a smart guy on/off the ice. Will he destroy the Penguins chances to win? Hell no. They're one of the best teams in the league regardless. Does this make JJ magically a Einstein? I doubt it. |
