Agreed, it seems with the interest that the price for Maroon is going to be high. If we’re making depth signings I’d like to see them take a chance on Duncan Siemen too.

I am all for staying out of silly FA signings, but I think it also confirms NJ is still not an NHL"destination" and we have to either develop or overpay or trade. Trust Shero. He did not overpay for any silliness has his cap space and a pipeline so perhaps a good trade. It will take time....hopefully Hall buys in.

Even the more appealing franchises have to overpay in free agency. I think it’s more we aren’t willing to pony up the silly money.

Greene (another year older and wasn't as effective last season)
Vants is very good
Butcher should improve defensively
Severson needs to find another gear but I think he will improve
Lovejoy blah
Gryba other than physical balance is meh
Santini should be getting his chance

im not saying sign anyone just to sign someone, or go after the big fish, i am saying we do need to improve our D either through FA or trades, our D wasnt exactly the best last year and as of right now it may be worse with greene getting older and we haven't replaced anyone with talent, Santini should make the cut but we still have work back there.
