I like it. Remember last year we were rolling in Lindholm, Warf, Siemens to help stop the bleeding....Cole isnt sexy but still a legit NHL player at 29 signed for 3 years at a stop gap waiting for TImmins/Makar/Meloche and co to come.

The Calvert signing is meh for me. Feels a bit redundant when you have Wilson and Bourque still kicking around for that bottom 6 winger depth. Bednar coached them at one time either as an assistant or HC with the Monsters/Falcons.

I like the signings but the Avs really need to bring in a top 6 winger to balance out the scoring. I like the Cole signing but it creates a logjam on D.

EJ-Zads, Barrie-Girard are the top 4. Let's say Cole and Nemeth are 5 and 6.

Where does Connor Timmins fit? Why sign Barbario to an extension? Lindholm proved he belongs in the NHL last year...

I disagree with that big time. He doesnt bring anything besides eating minutes. He can easily be upgraded and shouldn't be penciled into the Avs opening night rostster.

Timmins needs AHL time, he isnt a lock to make it out of camp. Thats why you do signings like this. When you have 6-7 Dman who you consider legit NHL dman then have Timmins Meloche and Anderson as your waiting call ups vs having the rotating cast of misfits last year when Injuries happen. Thats proper depth IMO

I like Lindholm because he's dependable and physical. There's no flash to his game and I'm absolutely fine with it. He doesn't make very many mistakes and you can count on him. I would offer him ice time over Barberio/Alt/Warsofsky any day. Barbs struggled against Nashville, Alt and Warsofsky are just a body imo.
