like Rousell as far as fighting at least he's willing. The pushovers we got back there now aren't helping. Team usa women's team play with more stones then most of the guys on contract for hawks last year. - vandymeer23
He may fight but he gets his butt kicked! Remember our own little guy Jordin Tootoo. Jordin put him down with one punch and Roussel turtles in the cradle position. This was after he was running Kane a couple of times |

Matthews is the kind of guy that will make franchises break precedent. That God da%@ Wilson lost out on Tavares and would not think twice about offer sheeting Matthews!! Hawk fans know that first hand. - Mr Ricochet

The Athletic:
Perhaps it shouldn’t have been surprising, then, that when Hagg fell out of favor with the coaching staff leading into the playoffs, Manning took up the mantle as second-pair defenseman during Philadelphia’s first-round series versus Pittsburgh. The pairing of Manning and Radko Gudas received the secondary matchups against lines centered by Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin, usage that showcased Hakstol’s apparent trust in the pair as a whole and Manning in particular. |

Hahaha
I just giggled reading all these spin quotes bowman spewed out on his conference call.
The hawks got older and slower. Well done. Andrew brunette part 2 |

Just a FYI those bonuses get paid that’s why most guys moved to those type of deals so they don’t lose money when lockouts happen. Which of course will happen again here when this cba expires. |

I was thinking the same thing. Manning is a dumpster fire. Late bloomer was my favorite quote by bowman.

I expect for the most part the fanct stats crowd will like Manning. He was a tad better at 5 on 5 scoring than 17 goal 41 point Provorov. Solid territorial play too over his 3yrs as a Flyer.
The Athletic:
Manning also continued to produce solid results in terms of raw territorial play at even strength, a trend that has persisted throughout his NHL career. In each of his three full seasons with the Flyers, the team has won the shot-attempts battle with the defenseman on the ice, and 2017-18 was no different. Even after adjusting for score and zone starts, Manning’s Corsi was a passable 50.64 percent, +1.26% relative to his teammates. And unlike in 2016-17, Philadelphia wasn’t outscored with Manning on the ice, as they won the goals battle by a 37-35 margin (51.39% Goals For Percentage). In terms of raw outcomes at least, Manning wasn’t a major liability. |

It’s reality. They are so far behind the good teams it’s trulu comical st this point. They have done a horrible job managing their long term cap space and retooling.
Higher cap number=higher salaries and the 2nd and 3rd tier guys get paid more.
Manning for 2.25 Aav is just as bad as a guy getting overpaid at a higher number.
The biggest joke of the day was the need to give cam ward a full ntc, but then again I’m not surprised because Stan loves ntc and then we wonder why we can’t make a trade.....Stan has no leverage. See AA as the next one. |

None of these D-men is FA were worth signing at all is my point. Manning sure isn't worth 2.25M/year. |

You're adding context???? You mean like the NHL coach of a team chooses players from his roster best fit to accomplish an objective should also be taken into account?
Interesting approach.
