Wouldn’t rule out some sort of deal with CBJ - if a partial season is allowed under the CBA that could work. Nash has a home in Columbus and was and is still very well thought of there. Think the feeling goes both ways.

I would agree, not a fan of giving up 1st or 2nd rounders. But I would think the Hawks have a "window" they have in mind when they will be serious contenders for a cup. How far along is a Schmaltz, Dcat are Forlsing/Gus/Oesterle/Sikuras legit possibilities, will a Gilbert/Mitchell help in 2-3 yrs same for a Boqvist/Wise and will they be ready then, where is the club cap wise 1-2-3-4 yrs out?

Maybe ROR fits depending on how the above questions are answered and is worth giving up a 1st or 2nd. Maybe not though but hope the Hawks are 2-3-4 yrs ahead as far as projecting where they are as far as cap space, the development of their prospects, the decline of the Core 1.0, the advancement of the Core 2.0 and if keeping or moving a 1st or 2nd fits and if so when and for what.

Gives us something to female dog about in an otherwise bad FA class. Stan is doing the right thing not chasing and overpaying Mangoo that is out there. There are no Hossa's in this class under 10M a year!
