They already have 16 Dmen in the system signed and drafted 2 more last week in the 1st round. How many more do we need?

Yea, Bowman doesn't have the the money because he's giving it all to a seriously overpaid core at this point....player are not gonna go penny pinching in Chicago. Bowman probably gave a bullpoop offer and JVR moved on...that said, I wouldn't want to sign him for THAT...the Phillies can have him. Sad to say you are not getting Neal or any other legit forward for less than 5 per....

For now it's better to be in a buyer's position, then having to give up assets to stay cap compliant. JVR for $7 mil, Philly just loves throwing money around, Hawks HAVE TO be very mindful of the cap, tomorrow's dollars are so important to this team.

The only core player who was signed after the thrill was Seabrook. Everyone seems to forget that the third Cup may not have happened if they didn't sign Kane and Toews to their extension that season. Keith was a steal for years and he is still worth his cap hit.

I still take this as a price to pay for the 3 Cups.
