Hammer got 5m per for 2 from the dust puppies. - mrpaulish
If there is any player in any sport I want to see get paid, it's Hammer. Guy left so much money, as well as blood and guts, in Chicago signing his last contract it's so so good to see him get paid........ He's in the team picture with Hossa as players I have more respect for as men than as hockey players.
Plus I picked Raanta up as a FA midseason last yr in my 16 team fantasy league and can keep him for 3 yrs. |

Thats not true. I think Q is over rated by a lot.
Q couldnt figure out Daley and Kempny ? Q is very stubborn allowng a poopty PP when the teams offensive talent is there.
But Bowman had no reason to give out the Seabrook deal .
However , weather any of you ant to believe it or not there are NO CUPS without Hossa and without Bowman Hossa never comes here. Tallon wanted to re-sign Havlat. Its that simple , No Bowman No Hossa No Cups.
Back to Hossa, maybe Toews has been riding Hossas coat tales this whole time ? All of a sudden Toews is average or worse ? I believe Hossa covered a lot of Toews defensive woes. I think Bowman though Saad would pck up the slack where Hossa left off. If Toews has another bad season my little theory will be proven correct. Toews has been carried by Hossa. - mrpaulish
Hossa was so strong on the puck he would carry possession for that line, unfortunately Toews doesn't have the same ability |

You know what, f*%# Q . This is a hard cap world, you get what you get and make it work. But we all know better than that, Q will doghouse any player that doesn't fit near perfectly.
GMs GM, coaches coach. Any deviance from this and you have a last place club.
Again, this is not Q's or StanBow's fault, it's Rocky's. He's counting on Shovel Face to figure this out? - Mr Ricochet

Kid is going to be a star in the league. No doubt in my mind. The Habs are going to regret not taking Zadina. He is another young kid who plays a two-way game. You see that kid at the combine? He already has sound base and add some professional strength training and he is going to a monster on the ice. - Elbows15
Did not watch the combine. I know there is always the Middlestadt who can't do a pull up but love guys with thickish legs on my team, hated playing against them.
It'll be easier to watch him be a star in the Red Army uniform now that they are not in the same division as the Hawks, but he's still a Wing!
As much as I understand the value of Kotkaniemi and MTL's needs, Tkachuk's upside and that rocket scientist kid GM in AZ taking HIS guy in Hayton they will all probably live to regret passing on Zadina.
As mentioned a 2 way player who has size and 40 goal ceiling and 30 goal floor.

I've said it before, why the hell would you want every damn player off of the Cane's.
They suck, and haven't been a serious playoff team since they won the cup.
I just don't get it. - vabeachbear
I think because of the history the Hawks have trading with CAR and their plethora of Dmen Hawk fans look at them as possible partners. Some solid pieces there but as with any deal the devil is in the details. For fair value I'd take a Faulk or Skinner off their hands.
From what I read around about the Canes they want a ton for anyone but the trade with CAL, and that has to be considered a blockbuster, seemed to be value for value. By the way that Dman 3rd rd Fox kid in the NCAA the Canes finagled out of the deal looks to be the real deal. ....... Kid stood out in the WJC Summer Showcase I saw live last yr with the likes of Dahlin, Liljeren, Hughes, Cal Maker, Jokiharju on the ice.
Even after the deal swapping out Hanifan for Hamilton the Canes are still loaded on the backend with Fluery and Bean knocking on the door. ...... They are the reason, as well as the development of Chicago Steel's Slavin and Pesce, Faulk is available as a 26 yr old RS Dman with a 4.7 cap hit. Anyone needing D, and who doesn't, is looking at CAR. |

IMO here are my hawks exciting signings:
John Moore
Wingles
Ward
Grant
Neal being optimistic but most likely no
No AA trade no hossa's trade no crawford trade so another failed offseason if these are the signings and if so bowman should be fired |

Would start turning over roster after the last cup so to replenish rockford. Then same the next year. Bought out bickell instead of trading him and tt. TT then could've been traded in a package deal for a center or d man. If the trade proposal from dallas was indeed correct 2 2nd rounders and a prospect the woulda make that deal more cap space. Wouldn't of traded hammer and panrin and with cap space from sharp trade could ve kept saad and panrin. Then go from there. |
|
|
|
There is a big part of me that has always believed once Hossa retired the Hawks would begin rebuilding. Last year only strengthens that belief.
Hawks have fan favorite core players signed for now to draw the fan base, but my belief is while the core is here realistically they know the window is closed and so the rebuild begins |

Can we at least sign one NHL roster player?
I’d take vanek for a million. Stands by the net. If you can shelter him he’s 40 points. |

Colbourne is big but not physical. Mathias never developed from prospect to much at all. No one really cares to keep him. Basically twice crap players. Would rather pay an Icehog. |

Kypreos speculating Tavares wait is for trade of rights from NYI so another team can sign him for 8...
EDIT: per twitter...
“An SPC with a term of greater than seven (7) years, provided, however, that a Club may sign a Player to an SPC with a term of up to eight (8) years if that Player was on such Club's Reserve List as of and since the most recent Trade Deadline”, he was an Islander at that point
EDIT: but also from Kypreos
A potential sign and trade would ensure the 8th year for JT and get the @NYIslanders something for nothing. Midnight is the deadline. #Tavareswatch |

If some of the things you mention were true, can't argue with this.
Think a buyout of Bickell wouldn't have gotten them cap compliant, and I myself would of kept Saad over a lot of others. |
