Still waiting to see changes to the Wild, hopefully is a busy (and productive) week for Fenton. As for the draft, I think I like Johansson, but Simon, not Filip. Looks to have decent size already, is also right handed and sounds like he understands the power play. Could be a good 2nd pairing Dman.

And I am glad to see that they at least grabbed Hentges. Too many Minnesotans make the NHL and are productive players on their teams. I'm not saying the Wild's roster should be full of MN players, but they shouldn't let all of them be ignored as well. Hentges just might end up being a good bottom 6 C. And while playing bottom 6, I would think players that are "on the cusp" type players are grateful to be playing and take slightly less than average contracts to play at home. It's just one way to work the cap. Just my take on it.

Ennis will be gone. If they can't package him in a trade, he'll be bought out.

I also find it interesting Fenton asked 3 vets with no trade clauses for their list of teams. I don't subscribe to The Athletic, so i don't know for sure who, but im assuming its 3 of Koivu, Staal, Dubnyk, and Spurgeon.

The Athletic has also learned from multiple sources that Fenton recently requested updated no-trade lists from center Eric Staal, defenseman Jared Spurgeon and goaltender Devan Dubnyk.

Staal and Spurgeon submitted 10 teams that they can’t be traded to and Dubnyk submitted 11.

At least it seems Flahr and the scouting staff are on their way out.

It's about time Flahr is booted out the door. And hopefully every scout is shown the door, as well.

I read earlier on the Athletic that Fenton informed GMs around the league that he DID NOT renew the contracts of several of the Wild scouts. So the cleaning up has started in the offices. Let's hope during those calls to other GMs, trades were also worked up.

RELEASE ENNIS NOW!!!
