Yeah, I'm with you. Lindholm hasn't been great at all, which is tough because Carolina doesn't have a lot of forward talent to insulate players with but hasn't be exceptional at all. Big win for Carolina.

Problem is that he produces like a 2nd liner but doesn't have the foot speed to compete in that area consistently. He is actually one of the few guys that I would want in front of net on a power play. Pretty atypical player in today's league and there are GMs out there that are going to pay for size coupled with offensive production.

Ekholm would look nice on the left side of Vatanen. 4 years left at 3.75. It wouldn't give us a true top d-pair (no Doughty or Hedman, etc), but it would be a LOT better than what we'll be rolling out otherwise.

With the cap raising so much most teams will be fine to re-sign their rfa's and others have room to make big pitches to ufa's and this ufa class is a little underwelming as it appears caps will keep Carlson after trading orpik and I believe tavaras stays

He made some good picks. Maybe he is going the slow and steady route until a steal-of-a-deal comes up. No sense on shaking up the team via trade after an amazing year.
