Ty Smith is really an under rated guy...good pick...

2021-22 season

Hawk defense

Ian Mitchell Henri Jokiharju
Adan Boqvist Brent Seabrook
Chad Krys Carl Dahlstrom

- wiz1901

The Hawks have the best defense prospect pool they've had in recent memory. Also a good position to trade from for immediate help maybe.

Jokiharju, Mitchell, Forsling, Dahlström, Carlsson, Krys, Hillman, Gilbert, Galvas, Snuggerud, Tuulola and now Boqvist.

Time for a teaching momnet (ala Eddie O)

Columbus just took a third line project with terrific speed and athleticism...

Most disturbing thing about the draft, the hawks still have the flying nun collars on the sweaters - fracking ugly!

People bagged on the Schmaltz pick...the DeBrincat pick...the Teravainen pick, etc.

I have no idea if the kid will work out or not but the outcry is par for the course.

You know I was just thinking of this. I was livid, screaming my dog went running, when they passed over Fabbri to take a soft as an ice cream cone Schmaltz who I had seen play more than 5 times as a junior and he was allergic to any contact/confrontation.

Honestly it wasn't until Schmaltz' development in the NHL that taught me to defer to paid NHL scouts.

Again, I'm gonna defer to the paid scouts and let Dahlin prove them wrong...... Kid has elite skill.

It was a guaranteed two year, no design changes thing. I'm hoping they correct ASAP.

Liking that - 12 in your list, and they don't all have to hit, just 1 or 2. Norell, Raddysh, Ess and Ryczek as longer shots also.

Read where Foudy was stuck on the 3rd line until London sold off their top guys for picks, Foudy moved up, got the minutes and he excelled after that. So his overall numbers look poor but if you take them after the trades his numbers were excellent.

Wow seven more picks and lots of players I like still there...

I had Ryan Merkley going around here, even earlier...

I am so glad San jose took the gamble on this top end dynamic skating, slight passing PP QB, despite the past evidence of warts.

the german Bokk, giant Serron Noel, small forward Jonatan Berggren ,defenders , Rasmus sandin, goalie Olivier Rodrigue...Jakub Lauko

wait a trade

Yea man. Wonder if someone will move up to get him. He's slipped maybe 10 spots already.

Beyond lame. I guess stuff can happen later, but per usual the rumahs and talk is just fodder, nothing substantial. Yea, some deals will be made, there are usually deals, but it's not earth shattering like many had predicted.

I would be ecstatic if we could get Veleno. My guess is we'll miss him by 2 or 3, just like Hughes and Zadina with our first pick.

Aren’t they all lame? Unless you have the first pick the NHL draft is almost always boring/unsurprising.

With the multitude of young Dman in the pipeline, will Stan move one or more of these guys for an nhl ready top 6 wing?

Respectfully BB, to hell with the rankings. If my scouts say Boqvist I'm ok with it even though I highly disagree with it....... No doubt the kid has the skill though.

How you think the AZ fans feel with Hayton picked 10+ spots early at 5? Gotta trust the scouts.

- Mr Ricochet

Just pointing out, it wasn't a big deal to see Bodvist at #8. He is a skilled kid.
