They could have traded down 4 spots, and still got Boqvist. Wow. Just wow.

Have to have someone willing to make that trade. With how many d-men are mixed in that range, teams don't need to move at all.

This will be my last season as Blackhawks season ticket holder after 38 years. Frickin Blowman and Q got to go. I am so fed up with nothing but Smurfs.

I feel like I spent months and to get to here, and Edmonton may get Wahlstrom....

believe me I think he is far away, they clearly think this player compensates for it with terrific hands and ability to push the pace, doing a decent job in his own end using his skill set. In the Swedish junior league, Boqvist showcased a nice shot, high end speed, and agility. He may very well be the top finesse and fine-edge-skating defenseman in the draft, displaying great balance and lateral mobility. He is lightning fast and has great vision. He distributes the puck unselfishly and he jumps in on the attack -- sometimes leading it. He opens up and delivers a very accurate one timer. As a slight, smaller player, he gets overtaken, losing puck battles to the bigger players. Does show good vision in both ends but it is a bigger challenge in his own end. His fast feet help negate some of his problems in the defensive zone, but it is difficult to ignore his defensive zone positioning issues. As a lightweight anchor, he needs to fill out, get stronger, and build his defensive game. Another right handed shooting mobile defenseman.

Passed over Dobson, Bouchard and Wahlstrom. Stan Bowman shows himself to be a NON-PLAYER again! This ducking guy thinks it’s Euro men’s league the way he tries to make this team. Wahlstrom is a beast and 2 big D. (frank) you Stan.

This!! I'm gonna defer to head scout Mark Kelley until the concussed allergic to his own zone proves him wrong. .......... Welcome Bovquist. Damn.

Yeah, I had a bad feeling about this... Hopefully he develops and the rumoured concussions will not be an issue. But, damn

What will be the epithet for Bowman and Q.ade too many wrong choices. Fare we say they are "limited" in their decision making ability while others around league are not.

All I read is how the Hawks shouldnt go after ROR or Tavares because they're "too slow"

This D kid looks like he can skate and has a Karlsson type comparison and some still complain?

Why not see what he looks like with the Hawks before complaining? It's not like they did what AZ or the NYR just did

Deep draft for defense and a winger in Wahlstrom with a NHL-ready shot available. Bowman goes for a small defenseman. Sigh. I really want this team to compete and be good, but Bowman is doing his best to screw it up. I do not want to see this team do poorly next year, but would not complain if it led to Bowman being fired.

Hope you're right, Orca. Again I'm gonna defer to the pros and let Bovquist prove them wrong.

Hughes is 6ft he's in the same conversation as Dahlin. ............... Doesn't matter the right pick was Wahlstrom.

I have always said I difer to Kelley and I don't know if anybody wanted up into #8.

I see three players I had ahead of him, mostly because I downgraded him on the concussions and the very fact he really doesn't have a lot of ways that he defends...it is the same poke move over and over...
remember, he won't be there for awhile...

You have the winger with size to bury Kaner feeds for 10 years and you take another (frank)ing smurf rated lower.
