Blowman.... enough said.... like Rocky said....changes will come if they don’t turn it around. Don’t hold your hopes up. We’ll still have Hossa’s contract and the 8th and 27th pick.

Carry over from the last blog:

I think salary would be the biggest obstacle. ROR plus Lehner would be 11.5 million. Cory is only 6.0.

I think there would need to be someone going back from the Hawks. AA?
- Lido_Shuffle

No way Lehner is going to get that kind of money.

Makes the most sense.
Get younger and better in a strong draft and build cap space.

No possible way Hawks have any interest in Lehner.

Keith and Hamilton as the top pairing omg. Could still use a center but that would be dope.

Hopefully its an eventful day and through the week could get kind of nuts.

Goalie Market heating up:

•Robin Lehner not returning to #Sabres

•Craig Anderson has requested a trade from the #Sens.

•#Canes likely moving on from Cam Ward.

•Philip Grubauer remains top trade target.

Bringing this over...

The Grubauer rumors don't necessarily say to me the Hawks think Crawford is done - it says that they want a starter ready for when his deal runs out AND if he goes down again.

Crawford didn't really break out until he was 28, Grubauer is 26 now, and Crawford has 2 years left on his deal - pretty good timing for Grubauer to take over when that deal is complete, much more than the younger guys in the system that are all like 23.

Right. Unless there is something with Crawford that we do not know about yet.

If Hawks trade away #27 I will be very upset. If moves are made with the 2 First Round picks the end result MUST be that there are still 2 First Round picks.

Wiz has Zadina falling to the Hawks on his website, this would be a dream come true. I think it's more likely that we get one of Wahlstrom or Tkachuck. Any of these three would look great flanking Toews or opposite Kane.

Hope springs eternal!

On Twitter there seems to be far less love for Tkachuk.

So the "rumor" is now Hawks going for another inexperienced goalie to cover the mistake they made last year in acquiring an inexperienced goalie. UNLESS Crow is done or being moved I am opposed to trading big assets for a backup goalie. This team needs many parts to get back to the level we're used to and moving picks/prospects isn't the way to do it.

I LIKE getting Grub IF Crow is moved (or done), but otherwise the Hawks don't have the luxury of adding these kind of pieces...if you are trading resources get a center who can win draws, a Top 4 D man.

My concern would be that Q would neuter Tkachuk and try to make him a poke checker, not a hitter.

I think you misunderstood what I meant. If Crawford is going to Buffalo and ROR is coming here, the salary is pretty much a wash. But, if the Hawks want Lehner too, that's another 4 million on the books for the Hawks. I would have to assume that the Hawks would want to shed more salary. Maybe AA would be going the other way to balance out the money.

Is this a fair trade?

Crawford + 8th overall to Buffalo for #1 overall and Ctr- Larson

Buffalo gets their cup winning goalie and 8th pick, Hawks get Dahlin and C-depth

No way. Hawks would have to add the sexond #1 pick and a #1 from next draft. So no

Yes clearly the only reason the Hawks won the Stanley Cups was Q was the Coach. Whew Pat come on.

Never said was the only

Just like when players dont succeed, it's not just a coaches fault.
