Well in that case, my sources are telling me that the 'Hawks are working on a trade that would require salary to be traded in order for salary to be brought in. Not sure if players of picks are involved, but talks are happening. E5. |

If the Hawks are looking for a 3C/4C from the Senators, prefer Pageau over Smith. Acquire Pageau to play 3C, then sign Riley Nash as a UFA to play 4C. |

If it's a big trade, what would it take to jump up to #4? |

$3.25M for a guy who had all of 5 goals last year? If we were to get Zack Smith, there better be a bad contract going back. |

I'd trade our 27th overall and Fortin for ROR with 2M retained. 5.5M for 5 years isn't bad, and you might be able to send AA to Montreal, they still owe us for the Denault robbery. - Dieselhead
You think that is the best offer they are gonna get?

I have just received an insulting PM from a poster in this thread. I have been accused of not having the stones to ban perceived trolls in Justin's blog.
I have had a conversation with Justin 3 days ago regarding trolls in his blog, we discussed a few posters that are always trying to create controversy.
Now I am a ref for this site and I do get around to most blogs through the flagged posts, but I do not read every post in every blog. There is/was a ref for the Chicago blog and hopefully they're still around, but in the meantime Justin and I have agreed to a plan on the way we can proceed to clean things up.
If there is a post that anyone feels is a troll attempt, then flag it. If someone posts Toews sucks, just let it go, there is no reason to rise to get into a back and forth.
I'm going to be very clear here, anyone that insults Justin or any ref will be banned, you'll see if I have the stones or not. - Makita
First MAkita, why is your name not MIKITA?
second, do you, as official referee for the steam clock on the street 2 miles from the arena, gets to weigh in...you think your team is amicable to move down one slot, and if so, what do you think it will take?
I am trolling your mind, now, so, don't back away. |

Trades...... does anyone think the other GM's don't know about the position Stan put himself in with the owner? - Savoy
I don't think any GM is in a comfortable spot unless they recently won a series of cups...the commiserate with each other in fact.
It is not like there is a gun to nay GMs head...they just know that changes are better if it appears you won in the changes...
All Cap figures /contracts are public knowledge and I really have problems thinking a GM for any team is a yokel...they know what's what, they get paid to understand EVERY TEAMS PLIGHT, long term needs, goals, because they have to to make their team better if trades do happen.
I don't think StanBo is feeling comfortable.
I think Q doesn't give a frack. because ehe will always find work....
I have yet to hear buzz if the Blackhawkss are chasing any trades for certain players...if I do I will pass them one as rumors.
I know this has be over stated but trading slot #8 COULD make the team better now, but I have to think the upper management above Stan, w ho have always had to have each trade brought to them first. might not see standing pat in this draft in that 8th slot as sound.
I really don't think teams think they can prey on the hawks GM... |

Pageau is a perfect 3C with over 50% at the dot and can consistently put up 30 points. We could seriously use him. |

John Moore would be a nice UFA pickup on D as well. As long as Q plays him on his natural side... |

Thew GMs are all here in Dallas now so things should heat up.
So my usual modus operandi is to find the watering holes close to the main NHL hotel...and cordially get people talking.

Dude, you are certifiably nuts!! God bless, have fun, travel safely and bring back a 40 goal scorer, a 2C, a #1 goalie (Jared Moe my man) and a 2nd rotation Dman.

Are you looking at his outdated wiki numbers? That's what he was when drafted. Pageau is shorter, but pretty much the same weight Bolland was when with the Hawks. |

I love Nashville (both the city and the team), but can't stand the fans and all their bs taunts. My favorite was a Hawks' game where they scored a goal, and before they could taunt Crawford, the Hawks scored. That was the same day Kane flipped a puck to me to give to my daughter. I think she told every Hawks fan at Bridgestone that "Pat" gave her a puck! It was even better because 88 has always been her favorite Hawk. - tvetter

You think Corey Prohman will be angry that I started answering the questions that he asked the fans to ask in that Questions (& A )that have been sitting there for up to 33 hours?
Currently on the the Athletic...
I know he will skirt a lot of the questions, and many expect concrete slotting, so I just said, "on my board he is in 45 slot..." |

Is he really? Dude just won in the AHL. Wow.
I don't think Crow is coming back.
Hutton and Sparks tandem would be cool. - Hank3Henshaw
Don't forget Forsberg won a cup in the AHL the yr before the Hawks traded for him!!

If the Hawks get ROR...
Would you bump Toews to 2C and let ROR take the 1C spot?
I'd be down to see how that went. - Hank3Henshaw
Toews is already the 2C. Any line Kaner is on is line #1. ........ IMO you put ROR with Kaner and Schmaltz.

How many under achieving g defenders can we float? - wiz1901
At 6’1 220 he is unquestionably an upgrade over the undersized crop of chumps we have now, he plays 20 mins a night, and he can come pretty cheap.
I would say he is #3 on the depth chart if on the roster today. |
