Hearing the Blackhawks are discussing a trade with the Sabres regarding Ryan O'Reilly. Do not know what the Blackhawks could offer in return maybe 8th overall pick.

Also, everyone should know this, they have been trying to trade away some salary. Anisimov/Seabrook/Crawford are available, - ikeane

Is he really? Dude just won in the AHL. Wow.
I don't think Crow is coming back.
Hutton and Sparks tandem would be cool. |

If the Hawks get ROR...
Would you bump Toews to 2C and let ROR take the 1C spot?
I'd be down to see how that went. |

he is 60pt 27 year old making 7.5 till he is 31/32. good at faceoffs but at 7.5 Mil he only had 9 5X5 Goals last year which is terrible. AA Hossa contract and 27th would even be rich for me.

You're literally just as annoying, if not more so, than goalie-33. Bringing poop in here from a previous thread. - BlazinMike

Neither of those guys are a #1. Sparks might be eventually cause he's younger but still.
I don't understand why people like Hutton that much tbh - as a starter anyway. He's only a year younger than Crawford but has never been a #1 anywhere, he's only had good sv% once - last year - and he only played 30ish games which is half what normal starters do. He wouldn't be a bad backup option, but it would be rare that a goalie becomes a #1 at age 33 after after a single good season and not even being a particularly good backup. |

Hey, thank you! I didn't know that!
So maybe Ottawa needs to give them THIS pick unless they are able to trade it for several picks, because they may be picking first to third next year.
that pick is not lottery protected.
Imagine waiting until next year and it being lower than slot #4.
Where did you read it had to be theirs? - wiz1901

Most of the insiders have mentioned it at some point recently or retweeted. I know Friedman did on Insider Trading and here is Johnson doing it.

You may not believe that St Bowman is too smart, and you may believe he makes bad trades or player moves more often than he scores with a fair or good transaction
But he is not just plain dumb
The organization, be that from Rocky or someone else in addition, is not happy with Crawford. Through Crawford's lack of good judgment on at least a few occasions I believe he has become messed up through too much drugs or drinking. Reportedly it was in celebratory mood for the news that he would be having a son. I do not know, however, the validity of this nor the snowmobile accident. I choose to believe the former story is true, and the later story - perhaps is true.
We have not been given information as to a concussion suffered off ice, away from the team
Crawford has cost the team victories by his absence. He is not trending in the correct direction.
This does not scream, automatically, trade him, release him
Bowman knows that if Crawford returns to healthy form, then he becomes more highly valued if they trade him. But for any team to offer anything now for Crawford is ludicrous. Everyone wants to see what is up with his health.
There may be legal concerns how to treat the personal issues affecting an employee. This whole situation will not trmsin totally private, rest assured, after Crawford returns to action in practices and as soon as exhibition games
Might as well just wait and do not plan on him helping. Probably a good bet he returns, but how soon is tricky because we do not know how well he plays until he is completely recovered from a possible concussion
Meanwhile, I refuse to speculate on trportedvtrade rumors. I find it amazing that ROR name is bandied about. Perhaps he is too string a voice or presence in the locker room? I for most part dismiss that. I get that perhaps Dsbres want Eichel and others to be face of franchise. But few players play the way and as effective as ROR does. I would want him in my team. In the fantasy world of some game like strat o matic and even in a draft league where money is involved, I would rather bank on a young, solid O'Reilly than a decreasing in value Toews.
In fact, I expect Toews to get injured and to have as many or more bad moments than good moments the remainder of his career. Johnny B not good - his body will fail him. His fear of concussion will seal the deal if an injury doesn't. It is only a matter of time. How much time I dk and cannot predict |

it was Bode Wilde that de-committed and wants to play in the OHl and be more desirable to NHL teams, not Oliver Wahlstrom. |

I'd trade our 27th overall and Fortin for ROR with 2M retained. 5.5M for 5 years isn't bad, and you might be able to send AA to Montreal, they still owe us for the Denault robbery. |

I have just received an insulting PM from a poster in this thread. I have been accused of not having the stones to ban perceived trolls in Justin's blog.
I have had a conversation with Justin 3 days ago regarding trolls in his blog, we discussed a few posters that are always trying to create controversy.
Now I am a ref for this site and I do get around to most blogs through the flagged posts, but I do not read every post in every blog. There is/was a ref for the Chicago blog and hopefully they're still around, but in the meantime Justin and I have agreed to a plan on the way we can proceed to clean things up.
If there is a post that anyone feels is a troll attempt, then flag it. If someone posts Toews sucks, just let it go, there is no reason to rise to get into a back and forth.
I'm going to be very clear here, anyone that insults Justin or any ref will be banned, you'll see if I have the stones or not. |

If Barry Trotz isn't the Islanders coach by April 1st, it reeks of insider trading...and he is relaxing at home until the hawks falter.
Can he bring Toronto's asst GM and talent evaluator Mark Hunter too? - wiz1901
