Dan Wallace: Trades? Trotz? Leading Up to Draft

I really don't see Trotz coming to the Wild. I think Fenton is going to ride out the year with BB and see what comes of it. I would bet that Fenton is thinking about the roster more than the coaches at the moment.

I agree Gus. I don't foresee a coaching change either, Fenton has plenty of other stuff going on. Plus, why get rid of a coach who just got you back to back 100pt seasons? After this season though could be a different story.

Curious as to why Washington would not try to hold on to Trotz after finally taking home the Cup. The whole scenario is weird. Trotz clearly doesn't like the organization enough to try and repeat and then again, clearly the Caps organization doesn't like Trotz being they didn't want to renegotiate his contract.

As far as Trotz coming here? Unless Fenton has already made up his mind that BB is not his guy, I don't see him bringing in Trotz at this stage so close to the draft and free agency. But, never say never I guess.
