What if they trade 7 for 11 and the 40th pick? - CanuckDon
I won't break anything.
I think you know the gist of my statement. |

I do....I think it’s extremly remote. If Benning was sitting on his hands and not working the phones I would be far more concerned. The fact that he has been more active than other teams is a positive imo |

Behind Edler & Tanev. Everything else is garbage. - Marwood
I have some faith in Stecher getting better, I think MDZ can be a bottom pair guy. But yeah it's in shambles, no getting around it. I totally understand why JB is going for Hanafin and risto, I'm a fan of both but hope the price isn't too crazy. |

Then all this trade talk is for not - VANTEL
Yes it is. The one and only thing Benning has to do is pick one of the top 7 concenus HB picks and all will be good. That is the safe route for him, why risk a frank up? |

It’s his neck on the line and he needs to do what he thinks is best for the long term health of the franchise. (frank) the fans. If he makes a mistake with a valuable asset like a top ten pick? He will be out. Good luck Jim |

Thats my point, why would he risk his job trading the pick, if most people think he is good at drafting? Especially after a so far, good 2017 draft? |

Look how good he did with an extra 2nd round pick. His best NHL player so far came at 23oa.

Good point.
I'm excited to see who they pick with the 7th.

I think Jesperi is worth of a 7oa pick, he will be a good player. He could either be EP's center if EP work better as a winger, or could be Bo's future LW if EP does work out as a center.
Dahlen-EP-Boeser
JK-Bo-X
that would be the making of a solid top 6, just need a winger for Bo. |

If Canucksarmy is even close.
Noah Dobson at 12, Joe Veleno at 13.
#17 BARRETT HAYTON
#18 RASMUS KUPARI
#19 RYAN MCLEOD
#20 JONATAN BERGGREN
#21 VITALI KRAVTSOV
#24 DOMINIK BOKK
#25 SERRON NOEL
#28 JAKE WISE
#29 BODE WILDE
I would rather be picking from 12-20 and another 1st then in the top 10 according to their players. Unless it's a top 3 pick. |

Trading their futures for help now is a revolving door of futility & hopelessness. They have nothing to trade for either one of those guys other than picks & prospects. |

Only prob is our defense will still be weak, but Pitts and Wash have shown that having solid goaltending and an overpowering forward group can make up for a weaker defense. |

I think we can agree Dobson is not availble at 12. But i do see value picks after that for sure. |
