I never said it wasn’t a 2nd round pick did I ? It clearly is a second round pick. Just like Asplund was when we drafted him at pick 35. But if you ask Tim Murray and their scouting staff they said they had a 1st round Grade on the player. Regardless of the fact, we are going to get a really good hockey player with pick 32 of the SECOND round. One who may have been drafted in the first round if it were any other year. Just like how Svechnikov and Zadina would have been drafted before Hischer and Patrick last season if they were born a year earlier.

I would say it started with the London Knights. I know a guy who used to be a major party supply dude... he weaseled his way into making friends with the 2005 memorial cup team. Prust, schremp, those kind of guys, I have heard liked to party like rick James.

Also, he palled around with Sergei Kostitsyn and company. Lots of coke rumors there tooo. Not to mention Kadri partying with the white pony in grand bend when he was drafted.

I'd do Allen for Lehner every day of the week and twice on Sundays. That's a no brainer. IDC if you think he benefitted from playing behind an elite D... he's hands down better than Lehner and more consistent.
