When will we stop making excuses for krejci and assume he is a second line center. Especially since he is the highest paid player on the team.

So sick of the constant b.s. with krejci for the last five years and how he needs wingers (and specifically big power forwards only) on both side to be effective. That's by definition not someone who can dominate and carry a team, hell he can't carry his own line.

Put him with pasta? He is too slow and needs to slow the game down which is opposite of pasta and the bruins direction.

Trade his ass please! Can't look to upgrade scoring when you only want to add one winger to the second line. Debrusk carried that line more than krejci so shouldn't be dropped. So that's one winger spot. Doesn't compute.

Please no. Don't want to bring his 35 yo stuck with his contract ass here. Time to change it up. Agreed with above K needs to go. 35+ year olds, with new contract and team are not the way to go. Where did Ty go?

The Bruins should be 100% in on this and anything else that can improve the team. I don't get how Bruins fans pine for a goal scorer and then when a legit goal is actually interested in coming to this town, you nit pick and female dog about every single thing wrong with the guy.

Here's an idea the Bruins haven't tried before. Let's keep signing power forwards like Backes for example. They work out so (frank)ing well. Idiots.

(frank) the Big, Bad Bruins. All they ever did was lose and not win nearly the amount cups they should have. Bring me actual, fun to watch talent for once. You keep your lumbering, slow, poopty goons.

Boston makes perfect sense.

The Rangers? Don’t get it. Unless they’re secretly trying to skip the rebuild and buy a playoff team in the offseason.

You're not entirely wrong, but how is this much different from Backes? yeah, Ilya had more upside 10 years ago, but now he's 35, been out of NHL for how long?
Blame Sinden for their failure in the 80's, with his self imposed salary cap, never getting that extra peice they needed, and then blaming the fans for his bad signings (Keven Stevens anyone??)
I still say they need a #1 D before anything else.

Backes plays the big, slow, lumbering guy with huge hits and poopty hands who scores by taking tons of punishment in front of the net. Guys like this typically begin to severely decline in their 30's as soon as they cross that line or in some cases in their mid 20's. Prototypical Bruin.

Every time the Bruins get a legit, skilled, goal scorer he is run out of town for being "soft".

EDIT: I agree on the D-man. But what's out there? This thing landed in Sweeney's lap and he's not supposed to explore it? How dumb is that?

Totally agree on Krejci. He is awful. I don't get why this Kovalchuk thing (which again has literally landed in Sweeney's lap) is considered such a negative. Kicking the tires not a bad thing. Sweeney is failing at his job if he doesn't explore this option.
