i think he's a smart enough guy to realize the fallout from going public and the collateral damage to the team.

Don't see why they wouldn't, probably made tonnes of money in expansion fees as well as increased revenue. The cap also went up a good amount this year so I think the Knights were really good for business. I'm sure some teams were jealous, but the owners were fine, as usual.
