We will see soon maybe tomorrow

If Trotz is obtainable 100% yes yes yes. If not AV would be fine with me.
Daryl or Brent Surter would be fine as well.
Very exciting for us even saying these names as possible coaches for this team. Big big difference without a doubt for Islanders Fans

AV ? I don’t have a problem with him. What’s your beef with him 28?
- nyisles7

AV is a great coach IMO. Take him in a heart beat I have no idea why anyone has an issue with the guy? I honestly believe the teams he coached to the playoffs and cup finals performed far better than most expected. Bylsma? No spank ya

100% agree on bylsma. After considering av his only bad stop was Montreal and he turned it right around in Vancouver. If hes the guy that can get these players to commit to playing d then I'm all for it. Still want Trotz but the window may not line up trying to convince Tavares to stay. I think something would have been brought up by now by an insider

I mean he’s no Jack “never won anything at any level of hockey” Capuano. So weird he’s not gotten a head coach job since being let go.

To be fair he was hired by Florida after being fired so he still has a job

Hates playing the kids as often as he should, mediocre defensive coaching masked by superb goaltending with Hank and Luongo. His philosophy won't work with this team.

And I'd bet that he wouldn't give Pulock the necessary minutes next season if hired. That's my fear.

I think at the end of the year pulock was the best player on d. He was scoring way more and you could see his confidence, play in his own end still needs work but it was better

Success with 2 teams with identical structures because his philosophies matched with teams with finesse style of play, i.e. Vancouver and Rangers. Our team that desperately needs better defensive coaching wouldn't thrive with him.

Last I checked the rangers blocked a ton of shots in front of hank, now was that left over from torts I'm not sure but at least they did that

Easy not the best. But he definitely brought his game up.
Pelech who most on here don’t like imho was good or in Defense was good in comparison to the rest of the crew. From Leddy through #6

Pelach was ok turned ot over a lot. I thought once he got confidence pulock could make a first pass skate it and score, leddy should be the best but he was over used because Garth signed 3 6/7 dmen and we didn't have a true top pair

This week is going to be something very different for us all here. The isles are finally going to make some moves to acquire real talent both on the ice, behind the bench, and in the front office. Should be great
