It will be refreshing to see a re-built Islander front office with professionals.

I took a casual look at some successful NHL teams (LA, Chi, TB) and a look at the Leafs to see how the front office structure was set up. Night and day compared to what the Islanders have, and have had for 25 years!

It will be interesting to see what this franchise looks like after filling out a staff.

It cant get any worse.....

The last 25 years will go down as one of if not the worst run organizations/front office staff in all of pro sports.

Despite all the Mark Hunter talk, it seems that Lou is surrounding himself with many tools for himself.

It's official Lou has made more moves in a couple of weeks than Garth in 12 years.

Lou is just showing off now. Did he really expect Garth to be able to keep up with this pace?

This is beyond sad. This is what I'm missing not being on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram?

Partial quote from Staple's piece for The Athletic:

"Word in league circles is that Trotz, whom Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported is finishing up a contract that pays him $1.5 million per season, will be asking for $5 million per on his next deal. If the Caps don’t bite, would the Islanders? $5 million per is about what they’ve paid their last six coaches combined. That’s very new territory for principal owner Scott Malkin."

Stape goes on to say that he thinks that Lou will go for experience via win-now than Keefe or DJ Smith.

Also... pursuant to a previous thread, Staple tweeted that Claude Loiselle was still VP of hockey ops as far as he knew.

Isles should go hard after Hoffman, maybe his wife can harass the Ladd family out of town

Keep him and his pile of gutter-jizz girlfriend a mile away from this team. Voynov too. Isles have had enough terrible press over the last 12 months, I'd like to fade back into media irrelevancy.
