Crackwood!!

Heard him on the radio the other day, when asked if he would be interested in a position with the habs, he said "well they have my number"

While slightly more reasonable I feel like that's a waste of Patches unless Klefbom is in there too. Lucic is that bad. Alzner isn't in that same boat. Patches in there and you've not only taken on possibly the ugliest contract in the NHL but also given up your top tradable asset. Again, politely...hard pass
- Takemedrunkimhome

The proposal in the blog is the 10 overall + Klefbom. Depending of what you think of Klefbom, you have to think about it.

Then again, you might argue that Patches all alone should get a you a good first round pick. So is it worth to take on Lucic just to get Klefbom? I don't know.

Bob McKenzie on TSN690 says he expects Jack Johnson to get in the neighbourhood of 6M per year, give or take a million. Expects the Canadiens to be interested.

Why a third pair defenseman is looking for that much? This is Alzner all over again.

$6 million for Jeff Petry lite. throw in a $40 million contract for Patrick Maroon, repatriating Tomas Plekanec to play a top-2 center role and Bergevin can call it a summer.

You think Pacioretty with 1 year left gets a top 10 pick?

I know mtl has some cap space, but they don't have to spend it just to spend it. It will bite them in the ass later.

in today's NHL you don't score goals with talent. you do it with character and compete level. that's how Andrew Shaw outscored Jaromir Jagr last year.

no a perfect summer would be somehow also squeezing Milan Lucic under the cap but that almost feels like asking for too much.
