Seems to be a growing theme right now. . . all the interviews and the articles touting Kane's leadership skills. First I've seen comparing him to Toews. Now wondering if McD is not starting to push a narrative (a la the original "Kane is a party boy and Toews is an Angel" stories they spun back in the beginning.)

An interesting question is this: Is Toews a 1C on other teams, though?
I don't know...personally, I thought he should have been bumped down to 2C as sort of a "wakeup call." Again, not dumping on him, but why is it that he can remain on the top line with little results, when other guys are being bounced up and down for poor play?
I like Toews, I want the guy to bounce back, but it's been a tough three seasons for him. I think if there's a team out there willing to trade for him (and take that contract or most of it) and send something good back, they should do it--before it gets too hard to move him.
I can't even give you any trade scenarios because the league is so wild, we don't even know what teams the Hawks are talking to about what guys and so forth. You also never know that there could be a three-team deal or something in place where the Hawks are looking to trade him and then flip those pieces to another team for a different guy to come back to CHI.
There's just so many variables we as fans don't know.
I just think that now might be to the time to shake things up a bit and move a core guy like Toews. - Hank3Henshaw
Basically all of them expect, LA, Pitt, maybe Jets. I mean there's not a lot if centers id rather have than toews even if he makes 2 million more than he should.
They add two other proven NHL players up the middle (assuming they move AA). A 15 / 30 guy who can eat PK minutes and flip the ice like Bolland back in the day solves a lot of problems. Tavares obviously covers up a lot of deficiencies and gives Q all manner of tinkering options. I don't mind AA but I don't think he should be playing the 3 spot chasing.
I think the dude bounces back and had a monster year based on his standards. |

Blues GM Doug Armstrong has been given the go-ahead financially by ownership to find a top center in free agency or via trade. |

For as much time as it takes to play it out, it’s a rather disappointing several minutes, I think - needs more action, more flashing lights, more...more. - StLBravesFan
I’m over it lol. Ovi laser off iron...Hey Q just do literally the exact same PP as Washington it’s been good for a decade. Sign Ilya Kovalchuk and put him in Oshie’s spot and Debrincat in Ovi’s |

Poppycock and balderdash PDX.
Toews will get right ONNIT. Me thinks another trip to Machu Pichu is in order along with some psychedelic shrooms. Toews should hop on over to my backyard, I have plenty of crazy looking mushrooms popping up all over near the base of my oaks and hickories. - savvyone-1
I applaud you for making it thru a post without licking that nut leddy

From The Athletic on Forsling:
Through his first two seasons, he’s played 79 NHL games. Only two defensemen taken in the 2014 draft — Aaron Ekblad and Brandon Montour — have played more NHL games than Forsling. He’s also still 21 years old and the sixth youngest Blackhawks player under contract. |

If he gets consistent and gets regular PP minutes he could be a solid guy on the blueline. |

This game tonight shows that Stan Bowman has a lot of work to do in the next three weeks, because as I see it only Seabrook, Kieth, TOEWS and Kane And a healthy Crawford, could crack Washington’s game time lineup for tonight.
Congrats to the capitals in one of the true good guys in the game Barry Trotz, in the meantime nice going Q, MICHAEL Kempney couldn’t play here because of your little boy crush on Stiffs like Osterle, Ruutta, Forsling,Gustavsson, ECT. None of those four would’ve even seen the ice for the capitals |

Kane might crack the Caps lineup, maybe...that’s about it. Ovi is more clutch than Toews, a true captain |

So would your rather have 9ish mill tied up in Calvin de Haan and Justin Faulk, or John Tavares? |
