In a few cases, sure, but not really. A lot are in the same ballpark. It's a pretty good baseline and also gives me something to talk about.

And really how hard is it for any of us to make some educated guesses and be closer?
I’m sure you can come up with some good guesses on your own.

If that number for Maroon is even semi-close then I want no part of it. I don't really want him back anyway, but definitely not at that cost.

I like those Wood and Noesen numbers. The Coleman one...I guess you need to see a tad more but I'd give him more term. Even if his offense is totally sustainable I see him as a solid 3C with offensive capabilities.

Santini may crack the bottom pairing this year. Hopefully he focuses on his skating this offseason. I was shocked at those maroon and grabner projections..... I genuinely cannot stand Maroon and his lead feet/penalties/slowing down all zone entries. I would let him walk if he wants anything beyond 3.5M. Grabs proved to be useless, and is solely a pk specialist in the nhl. If you can't get 8 assists in a season, you are worth peanuts. He should be under 2.5M per. But if Wood wants 1.9M lets keep him!!!! That kid is putting everything together nicely.

If Wood can turn into a faster version of Maroon then i'll be happy. Maroon was only good at screening the goalie on the PP. Wood needs to be that guy.

Maroon is also a beast on the boards with the puck. Protects the puck like thats his job.

I wouldn't be upset if Wood got a 4 or 5 year contract. He played great all year, gave 110% every shift and was very exciting to watch, which is something I think gets taken for granted. Love seeing him fly down the wing and cut to the net!
Noesen and coleman are two I would like to see back as well and maybe maroon if he signs cheap.

And I am sure you hated all the goals that were scored when Maroon screened the goalie up front. Devils lose because they get pushed around the ice, and everyone wants to use possession and entry stats to make decisions. As fast as players are, this league scores when goalies can't see the puck clearly, and when deflections occur. Everyone wants to play like the ice capades.

And if you don't have someone riding shotgun for Hall and Nico, they are going to get killed. $5 million is stupid projection, only way it happens if teams with too much money get into a bidding war, 3 years, 11 million. And sign him.

They need guys to get to the front of the net on 5 on 5 too, and Wood can't play every shift. You need a few guys willng to do that, Maroon, Wood are a good start. Noesen as well.
