Kind of like the Pens series, the next game is a must win. If Tampa wins, that is a ton of momentum for them. Especially heading back to their home rink

I'm totally rooting for Winnipeg and fully believe they have all the weapons to win the Cup this year.

That being said it seems folly to count them out already James.

We've learned this time and time again this season.

I think all the teams in right now have the weapons to win a cup.

I'm still hoping for a Washington Vs Vegas final. Just because I think both of those stories are incredible.

Any thoughts on the stralman hit? If it were Wilson it would be at least 2 games but he wasn’t injured.

I think it was worse then the hit Wilson got suspended for.

He left the ice, was from behind, targeted the head and Wilson has no chance to brace or defend himself.

Minimum 3 games IMO

Meh, I felt from puck drop Tampa was much more effective with getting puck deep/retrieving puck, and generating quality chances.

I also didn't put my lucky shirt on, which has gone 5-0 this year...so I might be completely to blame.

Vasssy made some hella(Buck?) good saves, especially towards end of 1st, and on a few odd-man rushes in 2nd when Caps needed the next goal badly.

If we make it 3-2 with time in 2nd, we win. So Tampa can thank their goalie for stepping up big.

Here's to going back to Tampa with a 3-1 series lead!

They're waiting to rule on the latest Kempny cross check to the head before they make that call.

Welcome to Tanner's world, where power plays aren't part of the game.

No no, a game is defined as 60 minutes of 5v5 time.

A team could take 10 penalties, give up 4 PP goals, but lead in Corsi 50.01-49.99 in the less than 2/3rds of a game played at 5v5, lose 5-4, and Tanner would call them dominant and unlucky.

Hey, that's too many variables to take into account. We ignore goaltending and special teams on this website!

Kuznetsov chopping his stick at Stralmans head anything?

Wilson saw it coming and braced himself, Wilsons head did not even hit the boards.

Eh... I could see how this could lead to a call from Player Safety.

However, Tom Wilson blubbering like a baby is top notch hilarity.

I didn't see any chop, tried googling it and couldn't find anything. (I'm not saying it didn't happen, i'm just saying I didn't see it)

I don't think Wilson saw it coming as it was a hit from behind. and it doesn't matter if his head hit he boards or not, the head was the target and his skates left the ice.

Granted i'll give it to you that there was no injury, but there is no doubt at all it was intent to injure. It's 100% suspendable

I'd also say if the DOPS doesn't do anything, Stralman should keep his head up because after a hit like that, he has it coming.

Skates left the ice, I agree. Can't do that. Head was not the target, I disagree. It looks like Stralman expected him to turn into the corner. Wilson has at least five inches on Stralman so I think part of the jump was Stralman protecting himself from the bigger guy hitting him in the chin if Wilson leaned into the hit.

I would understand a fine, would not like, but understand a game suspension but if you suspend Stralman you have to suspend Kuznetsov. He swung his stick at Stralmans head, only did not make contact because Stralman moved and took it off the neck.

Worse than the hit Wilson got suspended for? Okay I'll grant you that Stralman left his feet and that it was from behind. However, the injury to the player should be considered here. I'm sure Wilson can still eat solid foods and if Wilson is uanble to play in Game 4 I will become a Capitals fan.

Also, I want to show James Tanner some respect for not mentioning the Wilson hit. The series does not and should not revolve around Tom Wilson. On a personal opinion karma is a female dog Mr. Wilson.

Which one was the funny part? Looking for it but I saw a replay where the left arm of Wilson braced himself along the glass and his head just barely misses because his arm/shoulder keep it away. If I can find it I will try to post it.

Like I said I didn't actually see the chop/swing. But I'd imagine if it was that bad, someone trying to two hand a players neck/head, it would be all over the internet.

Again not saying it didn't happen, just saying I haven't see it and can't seem to find it.

I have to disagree on he Wilson hit. Looks to me that it's both from behind and the head was the target, skates left the ice and Wilson didn't have a chance to brace.

Granted I think Wilson sold it quite a bit. It's 100% suspendable

Yes I don't think the hit Wilson got suspended for was worse than this. Yes there was an injury. But Wilson's feet never left the ice until after impact was made (that's perfectly legal), Principle point of contact was the shoulder/chest (because Wilson is taller it rolled into the jaw but that wasn't the intent), his shoulders and arms were down and both players saw each other coming. The injury isn't great but not Wilson's fault that he is bigger.

Stralman hit from behind, skates off he ice and head was the target.

I can't find a video either but that's what happened with the 12:03 of the 3rd period high sticking penalty on Kuznetsov. Who knows why there are no videos of it, good question!
