look at those line combos: nolan, larsson, girgensons, josefson, pouliot.

He only played with Erod 11% of the time, but he had 3 of his 6 points there.

He was used horribly this year, and he basically said so at locker clean out. It makes 0 sense why he wasn't playing with Eichel in April

Yup. Never got any real "chance" to me. He did get a little 2PP time and a select few games playing top6, but when he's on the 4th line in favor of Girgs on line 1...there's something wrong.

I don't think we should be looking to trade him unless it's for an upgrade. We need quality wingers badly and while he leaves some to be desired, he has a good shot and speed. Isn't the speed thing what we are going for? Keep em.

Dump as much of the weight as you can and play the kids. It's time to figure out what this organization has moving forward. Dump the old and the slow and develop the young and fast.

Bottom 6 should see a youth movement (sans Pominville)

Bailey, Baptiste, E-Rod, Wilson, Fasching, O'Regan...maybe Mittlestadt and Nylander but I'd prefer they get top 6 time.

Tough to get it going with only 10m per game to work with too.

yeah...a third-line with mitts or erod at center and baptiste on the wing wouldn't be bad at all

Yeah, he never got a real shot here this year. Disco at least played him with Eichel after we were out of it. Housley got fixated on Girgensons' truculence and Pommer's... veteran savvy

baptiste did a lot of yo-yoing between Rochester and buffalo...methinks they wanted him to keep him developing mostly in Rochester last season...that and gus played left wing where there was a huge void

True. There are only terrible choices to be made on the left side

I just don't understand why there weren't more experiments in his last 5 games or so. I thought it was you who mentioned it after that particular game, where Bapper scored two and then saw 4th line duties the next night and press box the following. That is mismanagement to me. No?

I think he’s going to be a alright 3rd line player

But I would move him in a package

can't remember if it was me or not but regardless, that's unacceptable...

maybe we can add that to the list of rookie coach transgressions that started with reinhart at center?

Best case Scenario he ends up like Byron for the 3rd line

you've been preaching speed...he has it...plus the wing depth in the organization is mighty thin

That definitely happened. He scored twice from the 4th line, and he was back on the fourth line.

They need to figure out how to get him into the top-9. Maybe that means a third line of

Wilson-Mitts-Baptiste

They're never gonna get the most out of him by playing him with who they did

But it all honesty Bailey and Baptist have been a huge disappointment

They dominated rookie camp every year but then When they have the opportunity to make the team with a 99% chance they blow it

He spent most of the year with guys who might not even be in the league next year. How can you possibly evaluate his season?
