like Laine without the size? - Symba007
Kind of, yeah.
He likes to work his way into the slot and let it rip though, not so much on the one timers and whatnot. |

Barzal doesn't play with Tavares, FYI - eichiefs9
He does on the PP . 27 points on pp |

Thats a pretty big dent in his point production. He is skilled but comparing him to zadina is retarded. They dont even play the same position |

Nobody compared him to Zadina
Suggesting O'Reilly is worth the 3rd and Galchenyuk is retarded! |

Well sure it's a big dent, if you assume that Tavares gift-wrapped each and every one of those points to Barzal and he didn't actually drive the play himself on any of those PPG's.
Just looking at who played on the Isles first unit and assuming that Tavares was the only capable player and everyone else's production relied solely on him is pretty stupid and myopic. |

I never suggested that. Even giving that up for toews is retarded . But if they are thinking of trading those pieces for a center they are better off doing it for Oreilly than toews |

I remember one play in particular quite well, he burnt the Habs on a fantastic solo effort and JT was nowhere to be found! |

I saw a Sabres fan suggesting that they should trade O'Reilly and the Sabres 1st for Skinner and the 2nd overall. |

Barzal was arguably the Islanders best player all season. His speed/skating/hands let him really control the tempo of the game. Tavares came out of the gate scorching hot, but I think the weight of his contract situation and the circus surrounding it started to get to him after awhile. |

Im just stating bergevin is on the hotseat and they dont have a centerman which means bergevin is going to make mistakes acquiring one. Obviously Oreilly or Toews is not worth the 3rd overall and galch but it wouldnt surprise me if it happened

They're just dying to offload O'Reilly and tell you how awesome he is and list off all the things he does all in the same sentence |

He's done a great job of being 27 years old and having a career high of 28 goals. |

Theres no way in hell id want to willingly trade Oreilly. Hes probably the most underrated player in the league but since the sabres have Eichel and Mittlestadt as theyre future 1-2 and need wingers that makes Oreilly expendable |

He's a 2nd line C at best
And while being surrounded better in Buffalo, offensively anyway, he managed to lead them all the way to the bottom of the standings, how can you figure he'd make a positive impact on this group of F? |

Sounds like a Buffalo problem, doesn't mean the Habs will hand them 2 good young F to accommodate that! |
