ah yes, Carey Price and Jonathan Toews, both over the age of 30, locked up for umpteen years at $21 million.

Seems like a recipe for success in Montreal.

- BINGO!

look as a Montreal fan i can assure you that it really, really doesn't matter

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes the Hawks are going to trade their heart and soul player who is already a lock for the hall of fame. Don't get me wrong, Hawks need to rebuild, but this simply won't happen and you can put an E5 beside that

This makes no sense. If CHI does this then they have no # center. They really dont have one now, theyd def have zero middle depth

nhl already named him a top 100 player.

going to be weird to have him in the hall with 800ish points.

I don't think trade is about bringing Toews to Montreal as much as its about Bergevin keeping his job. Ownership didn't like how this season progressed, and is putting the heat on Bergevin to ice a winning team next year. You'd almost have to give up your 3rd overall pick in this years draft if you're Montreal though, and thats a start.

I don;t know where this came from , but , it doesn't make any sense to me. Hawks are looking to fill center and defense positions , and Montreal doesn't have either to offer . It make more sense to trade with Calgary or Nashville

And thats going to be any more or less weird than someone like Igor Larionov who is already in the HOF with only 644 pts in 921 games?

The Habs would have to start with the 3rd overall pick for......Toews?????

He's got an awful contract and hasn't had a year above 60pts in the last three seasons. If someone gives up a 3rd overall pick and more for a guy like Toews...they deserve to be fired. Like, literally lit on fire.

His points may not be much to look at but, like it or not, he was part of that first wave of Soviet's to bolt from the USSR and come to North America to play pro hockey.

His career was culturally-significant and that does count for something. It doesn't hurt that his numbers were "good" and he was a contributor on multiple Stanley Cup winning teams.

You would have to also throw in Seabrook and charter a C-17 Globemaster to carry all their cap hits from CHI to MTL
