Hudon is a fine player.

He had a 5.6% shooting percentage last season, despite creating plenty of decent scoring chances.

With a little more experience, he'll likely bury a little more of those and be part of the solution.

Potential to be a fine player?

It's like he's cursed... does everything, except his efforts never really show on the scoreboard.

Except there are reasons to believe this percentage should go up with time considering the quality of the chances he produced.

The fact he speaks french has nothing to do with it.... if anything the guy was our best AHL player for the last 3 years before finally getting a callup. It didn't help him at all.

- Scabeh

He doesn't belong in an NHL top 6, regardless of what he did in the AHL... But I'm sure they will force him into a role he wasn't meant for, he will become the new Desharnais

Might as well keep Pacioretty then, he produced with David, now he'll produce with Charles

I never implied he belonged in an NHL top 6.

There are 6 other spots for him to take in which he'd do just fine in.

On a third line, he'd be excellent.

There's always the chance he becomes the next Jan Bulis and gets plenty of opportunities but just sucks at scoring.

But I think he's gonna pull through.

He can C the 4th line if they don't bring back Plekanec, otherwise he's the 13th F

Heard Pierre Pagé on the radio today, NHL teams should be all over him, he has the recipe to win a Stanley Cup in 3 years.

I'm sure both players will start the season on the team since they need to go through waivers.

But I have higher hopes for Hudon than I do for Rychel at the moment.

30 points as a rookie in a limited role. generally playing with terrible hockey players. not a bad output and he got better as the season went along.

Depth guys anyway.

They mostly need guys like Drouin or Pacioretty (if he stays) to be better. Lehkonen as well. Not sure what to think about Galchenyuk anymore but they have to figure something out.

Not sure who play center next season. I like Byron but the dude has no business as a c.

yeah because god (frank)ing knows we wouldn't want to take away ice time from guys like Nicolas Deslauriers, Jacob de la Rose and Logan Shaw.

Him and Lehkonen created a poopload of scoring chances this season...they just need to find a way to actually score.

Cause Rychel will likely put up the same numbers, probably better and he brings more... He's bigger and stronger!

People are quick to write Rychel off but he was buried in 2 organizations that had incredible depth at F, he knows this is his last and best shot at cracking an NHL roster... I expect him to show up at camp ready to steal a spot and I hope he does

Galchenyuk with 51 points despite the team being horrible and spending 1/4 of the season on the 4th line / CJ's doghouse.

And he showed more determination in his game as the season went along.

Things are looking up for him.

None of those guys should be in the lineup either... Add Mccarron and Carr to that list too

There are absolutely no numbers that can backup that claim....

So I guess it's just your feelings speaking. You might be right but I disagree at this point.

And Rychel wasn't buried, he never showed the required consistancy in his play to get a callup and when he did, he pretty much did nothing of it. It's more on him than his teams.

ok well now you've chopped off like half of the team's forwards. they still have to ice 12 forwards. at least there is some upside/unknown with Hudon. i think we aready know everything we need to know about Daniel Carr and Michael McCarron.
