Forget about Rick Nash... there's no space on the roster for him, and there's certainly no need to tie up any cap on a player like him.
I'd love to see them bring Riley Nash back, but I think contracts like Krejci and Backes are going to prevent them from doing that. With the money tied up in those two guys, combined with buyouts of Seidenberg/Hayes, retaining salary on Beleskey, bonuses on ELC contracts, and paying Chara almost $7m, they aren't going to have the room to keep around those good depth pieces. They're going to have to swap them out for guys on ELCs or guys making NHL minimum, and that's going to make it harder for them to repeat the success. Not saying they can't do it, just that they're going to need to have new players step in and have immediate success, and it's hard to do that year in, year out.
