Actions speak louder than words -- at least in my world.
What about:
>the new-fad ONNIT bs diet and the Jonestown/cult way of living?
>what about NEVER EVER hearing/reading one single thing about an off-season program he is attending/participating in like:
- speed training
- weight training
- skills training with some of the top NHL talent
???
This is a guy that has, for the last 3 seasons at least, marched to a different drummer. While Patrick Kane has done all of the above and those things were documented either by the local rags or television, the only things we ever seemed to hear about #19 was his vacationing in some faraway places with his squeeze. Never once have heard about him working on anything other than whatever he's done on his own.
Pretty sure we all know that in order to make progress, especially as a top athlete, it almost necessitates hiring an expert in a particular area for improvement to happen.
That silently speaks to a feeling of invincibility.
Bet we see more of the same this coming season. - savvyone-1

If Toews shows up to camp with orange hair, then I guess you were right. |

Anyone who thinks Toews would be moved forgers that John McDonough runs the show. And John, as it were, is a marketing and brand guy first. |

Justin mentioned this before about Anisimov, but pulling the trigger on certain players should only be made if the position being vacated has a replacement coming back in another trade or is filled by a free agent, current prospect, or 2018 draft pick. Not saying I advocate for all of these trades and I acknowledge some of these trades are pure fantasy, but just some examples for water cooler talk:
Trade Toews after securing a C like Tavares
Trade Keith after securing a D like Ekman-Larsson or Karlsson
Trade Crawford after securing a G like Darling
Trade Anisimov after securing a C like Backlund |

Again only way toews gets trading is if he wants out little thing called NMT. We all can speculate rumors are rumors until something happens then its just news to catch people interests during the playoffs. I m all for rumors and playing arm chair gm so for Sh*T and giggles here are some trade proposals some I have mention early in blogs.

Yes.
The problems lay at the feet of a head coach that can't sort out how to put the talents of NHL caliber players to use and forces the GM to launch them.
The problems lay at the feet of a GM that can't figure out how to be on the same page with a recalcitrant head coach.
The problems lay at the feet of a President that knows nothing about hockey but apparently has his say about everything from players, contracts, NMC's/NTC's.
Let's hope Rocky has had enough, that season ticket holders have spit the bit and aren't renewing and the waiting list is gone. Maybe enough impetus to finally get a real hockey guy in charge making hockey decisions instead of by committee. - savvyone-1

That’s probably the key, the problem is Toews has no idea what he wants. He’d really have to think Onnit for awhile. |

If there is even a tiny chance, you go hard after Tavares. Period. - 35Tony0
I don't think there's any chance that happens. Why on earth would Tavares want to come here ? This is a team that is on the downside with aging core players, a Coach and GM that are on the hot seat, and a management staff that has not proven a thing in the last 3 years on rebuilding a winner.
Also.....he's a New Yorker........
My bet is he'll end up where the money is both on and off the ice....New York Rangers. |

Having a difficult time following. If you're making all of those proposed trades, then you didn't list a lineup that included key pieces the Hawks got in return, i.e. Galchenyuk, Pacioretty, and Dzingel. |

Yes, but Q's day must get scratched 27 times before he actually GETS the day with the CUP - needs to feel the anticipation of getting it and you know TG, most certainly other guys have the requisite skills to know what to do before Q will get the chance.
EDIT: here's a nice thought: maybe Kempny sends Q some ducats to the upcoming 2 games in Tampa.
"Hi Q, it's Michael Kempny. Remember me? Probably not. Thought you'd like to catch a few conference finals games I'll be playing in while you're in Florida GOLFING."
Love
Michael

Good stuff Savvy.
watch Vegas and Ryan Carpenter. Local Orlando kid. He is the kind of player the Hawks need.
He actually did a Hawk prospect camp 4 years ago or so.
Kid is trusted by his coach, PK, 4 on 4. Shut down and has some skill.

Don't read the post its not like everyone is as perfect at spelling as you and grammer. Excuse the city education. Busy watching the game more important things going on besides my misspelling. |

Nothing to do with education, I was merely wondering if you were having a laugh or if you genuinely misspelt almost all the names.
My answer has now been given. Thank you very much |

An assist and a post. He played great first game of series as well.
Kid born and raised here, not a transplant. Toews like character, before he got a little eccentric the last few years.
