Carol Schram: Injury knocks Elias Pettersson out of Worlds, Canada's complex path to QFs Vancouver Canucks prospect Elias Pettersson saw his World Championship tournament come to a close when he fractured his thumb on Sunday in Sweden's 5-3 win over Switzerland. Anders Nilsson picked up his third win in net for the Swedes. Plus, countless quarterfinal scenarios face Canada with two games left in their round-robin schedule.

They certainly do. We had gourmet hot dogs at our welcome reception on the first day - which were more like bratwurst, with some exotic toppings! Hot dogs are also a staple of the arena food - which has been my primary diet here.

I've been trying my best to get my fresh veg & fruits in at breakfast. And they do a good job of providing apples and bananas in the media centre.

I think it's safe to say, with much certainty, that Latvia will not beat Canada today.

Rick Dhaliwal: Canucks prospect Elias Pettersson suffered a thumb injury and his World Championships are now over. The Canucks might sign him to an entry-level contract now.

Virtanen : "I am training 5 days a week focusing on every aspect of the game including foot speed. I am working with a stick handling coach in Vancouver, working on my hands." #Canucks

God bless him but he needs a brain coach to improve how he processes the game.

JUST IN: The U.S. Supreme Court rules 7-2 in favour of striking down federal anti-sports gambling law and gives states the go-ahead to allow betting on sports.

What is Buffalo going to give up? They don't have extra assets. Not going to give up a 1st. Only 1-2nd. Sam Reinhart needs a new contract. I doubt they are going to go O'Reilly start up.

Bouchard played with Juolevi in London : "Olli is 1 of the best defenseman I have ever played with, he is a special player. Playing with him really helped me out." #Canucks

I didn't know this.

A lot of people cite this as a reason to draft him instead of Dobson

Dobson is the better player from what I've read.

It is one of the reasons I wouldnt mind getting him. Familiarity, can help both those players.
Juolevi was his defense partner as a rookie and guided him along.
Future top pairing for us, Juolevi-Bouchard?
I have Dobson just slightly ahead of Bouchard, but would be happy with him, either way we will get a nice player.

I honestly haven't done the research to know which of the 2 I like more. If they were really close though I could see chemistry with OJ being a reason to lean towards Bouchard
