true. there's a good chance of that happening.

top free agents usually end up with small market garbage fire teams.

- Tumbleweed

As opposed to the big-market garbage fire teams? Maybe he'll be back with the Leafs for a chance to play with Nash, Stamkos, Tavares, and Doughty.

I actually don't mind this deal (although I don't think it would ever actually get done). I hate the idea of getting rid of Formenton or Chlapik.

Formenton is looking very promising and Chlapik I've seen play for the Charlottetown Islanders the last could years.... He's very good.

I believe you, but the Sens are going to have to loose something for other teams taking $$

It's the only way to keep Karlsson and we will f**king regret letting this guy go just like Zdeno Chara

It seems like a ponzi scheme of sorts other then that i guess it depends on term on the players coming back

I don't understand

Ottawa moves out a lot of salary and gets Marc Staal and a top 3 center to fill in while Brown finds his 2nd line role behind Duchene

It will cost them a prospect (like Formenton or Chlapik) then Ceci + 22nd pick

RANDOM RUMOUR ALERT

Guy at dog park says he has inside knowledge from reliable source! Sens will be sold soon to Quebec beer conglomerate. Staying in Ottawa, moving to the flats, Karlesson stays, Alfie returns and everyone stays happy! Must be true, heard it at the dog park. Dogs don't lie.

Andreas Englund is turning into the same; a stay-at-home D-man

D take longer to mature and frankly he'd play be better off somewhere other than Ottawa. Christine Wolanin is good.

I can agree the package isn't enough without throwing in a 2nd or another prospect that with upside, but Arizona can afford to trade him and obviously won't resign him

Two 2nds & 4th (who is showing promise in his very brief pro career), not useless

Nope, CALGARY IS THE TEAM GOING TO QUEBEC. That's why Bettman won't let EM bail and move.
