I have no idea if Yegor Rykov will develop into anything for the Rangers but he's automatically worth more then Grabner was for us. Not blaming Ray at all but that deal turned bad. I still think it was worth the shot.

Hopefully Rykov never comes to the NHL and stays in Russia so the trade won’t be a complete bust... that guy Yegors point totals don’t really pop out at you but his plus/minus seems very good

I agree need a shut down defenseman who can break up plays and frustrate teams hopefully Shero can work some magic this offseason

Wish the coaching staff would give severson and santini a fair shot to see what they can do for a whole season, tired of guys like lovejoy playing over the kids. Sure would be nice to bring in scott stevens to teach are defenseman. Need to see what these guys can do before we lose one of them in the next expansion draft.

In today's NHL you kinda need even your "defensive defenseman " to be mobile and move the puck. Otherwise you have Lovejoy.

To be fair, Sev did play a lot so he mustve done something wrong, but agreed on Santini.

Lovejoy had a very good year as a 3rd PAIR d man . HE JUST IS NOT A 1st PAIR GUY.

Santini got beat out by the other Defesmen for ice time. It wasnt like he was great and didnt play.

All played better.

This is a dumb statement. Just because a guy is good offensively doesn't make him bad defensively.
