I love the fact Neil Smith signed better FA's in 40 days than Garth in 12 years. - ses111
Hey now, Snowy did sign Ladd, after all. Was there ever a bigger free agent signing in the history of the NHL? Methinks not. |

Crazy Neil Smith only wanted to give DP 5 years and Ladd got 7. Garth showed Neil.

It would add some much needed muscle to this organization. |

He'd just have to do it when there's no teachers around. |

Who reported it's 10 years? - Vukota
I believe it was Compton also read it somewhere else. Lighhousehockey had the transcript from the podcast. Again, not saying it's fact but it's what I read. |

Only 10 years? I'm shocked Wang left off the 5 more years.
Wang giving Garth 10 years would not shock me at all. |

Was supposed to do this show yesterday. After it was promoted on Twitter and Garth Snow found out, #Isles made a call. Segment cancelled. Pathetically, he was worried about a harmless interview on the NHL’s own radio network. This is the Snow culture. GM since 2006. |

Why would a GM who's team can compete for a Cup constantly have to hide? |

I saw that a little while ago, these idiots are melting down internally.
I did catch some of those rumors or whatever Botta mentioned about Fitzgerald while I was away, but I was trying to enjoy my vacation which means reading as little about the Islanders as humanly possible. |

Taking Lou out of the picture, would you hire Fitzgerald or Fenton? |

I don't honestly know enough about either to be able to pick one of the other. Both are working under very talented GM's. Fitzgerald worked with Shero turning the Devils around from a crap team with no prospects into a playoff team in a pretty short time-frame. Fenton works under a top-5 GM in the league and has been a part of a team that's been one of the most active at improving itself over the last few years. I don't know what either guy is like, but both come from the type of background that I would hope the (frank)face Islanders draw their next GM from. |

It seems really close among these two and hopefully you cannot lose with either one. Would still love the idea of bringing in Lou with his track record working with his son. |
