That’s why I’m assuming they stay on the right side. Maybe Svech is a 35 goal RW but on the left side isn’t as lethal and isn’t comfortable and scores only 20.
- Pegullaville

Good point
Was just saying there’s at least potential for them to switch sides
Bailey switched to LW
Okposo has played some LW in the past
Nylander seems to play both Wings

Free agents or trades can be made as well

I’m not too worried about the LW side,
even though RW looks to be deeper right now

We will find out soon, I know how hard it is to find exceptional D men.
- SABRES 89

did botts ever have that meeting with housley and/or certain leaders on the team?

Maybe they were tank-holders

Mission accomplished

- Boss34

I can’t imagine a scenario where Botts thought he was bringing in those guys to actually “help the Sabres win”

Idk if they were “stealth” tanking,
but i do know those guys aren’t part of the future
And that at least some of these kids likely will be

Wat? How'd he come up with those two?
- jcragcrumple

It's speculation. However, if you want to see real change on this team, someone that "hurts" will have to go. There aren't many of those on this team. Eichel, Ristolainen, O'Reilly and Reinhart. After that, there's nothing but question marks and never were's.

If it happens, it will be no later than the draft.
- buffalofan19

Maybe it depends on who we draft?
Forward or defense?
Ror or risto

It's just weird that he picks a defenseman and a forward. If we're playing the guessing game between those two, I'm betting Risto stays 100% of the the time. Trading Risto would make the D disasterous. It's currently at horrible

Best of both worlds:

Stealth tank
Develop young guys in Rochester

Jbotts has been spot on

Haven't heard anything since I posted it, doesn't mean it didn't happen though.

Ristolainen from what it sounds like does his own thing and isn’t very coachable.

It definitely wouldn't, at least in the short term. Picking between ROR and Risto to trade feels like a statement move, as in making a move just to do it

ror's locker cleanout came before his exit meeting with botts...would love to have been a fly on the wall of their exit interview

No, and I don’t think either one of them makes a giant difference.

Literally one 1 guy on this team does

How so? That's like saying "I either want pad Thai or hamburgers for dinner." They're two very different ideas. His vision should be a bit more defined

They're the only two (besides Eichel) you can trade that would bring back assets that would make a real difference on this team.

Hard to say but like I mentioned before, LOSING is really taking it's toll on this team and organization. This can't keep up.

I think risto would make a much better #2 if we got Dahlin

that's just me
