Well, I don’t respect your opinion of the posters here who disagree with you - but it’s what I expect of the internet in 2018.

Ha! That's exactly what a company line fake poster would say.

The last thing the company wants you to realize is that Bowman gave away the equivalent of superstar Patrick Kane. Kane was the very first pick in the draft. Panarin is his equal and head and shoulders above anybody else the Hawks have just as Kane is. How many of those guys can you expect to get on your team in a lifetime? We had two of them and now Panarin is gone for little return and the highest scoring line in the NHL is broken and for no reason. Furthermore Bowman has not replaced either Panarin or Hammer and must be held accountable.

Can't argue with any of that.

Oh, so he never quits when it is a one on one race to the puck and the other guy might run him
He never quits then. He is not worth the next contract unless he scores more, not merely a point per game. He will need the right linemattes to rack up more points

You know you read the Athletic piece on Panarin and how he grew up, the struggles, the battles, and how he EARNED his place in the NHL....and honestly, I could give 2 craps how he busted tail to earn all his bonus money last spring....Good for him, and if hind sight is 20-20 if my boss told me if you do X, you get Y....would I exhaust all rescources to do it? Of course.

Then I sit here and watch him dominating games....and I all think about is Bowman getting fleeced.....You want Saad? Sure.....you want Forsberg? why not.....and then you read about Columbus not being happy with Saad's lack of urgency and it all makes sense....and before the hawk apologists coming steam rolling in, realize this is the best beat writer source in the game.....from Columbus....stuff the McKenzie's, dregers, can't touch.

Sadly, McDonough puppets like Rozner come out in full force to defend the organization colossal blunder.

This team just gave away a legit super star to cater to their aging, captain.........

Well he certainly would have been the best player on the Hawks this year. Probably next year too.

Bowman has carved out a place for himself in NHL history with the giveaway of Panarin.

Well then Bowman did the right thing we can't afford to give him, how much is McDavid getting? Since Arty is the best forward in the NHL

I’ve seen Panarin drive the net and control play more in this series than I saw all last year with Chicago - he got the points last year (how much was due to Kane) , but not the domination.

Looks like maybe he needed to get away from Kane and be “the guy” on a team (playing wit some quality line mates) to become the force he now seems to be.

I’m still more ok than not with the deal if Saad gives them three years like he gave Columbus (yes, I hear you about Saad’s lack of urgency - funny how that all comes out after the deal. Few here seem to be understanding the Hawks not being happy with Panarin’s lack of urgency after earning his bonus money last year - which we have also heard).

All that said - Panarin is certainly playing like a major force through this series so far.

Well we will never know.....nobody here is a GM, nobody here knows 100% what cap implications are, but I believe both Panarin and Saad earned the same this year and next year....and with cap escalating, this team needs new younger building blocks....imagine it.

Do I personally believe 19 and 2 will find their old games? NO. NO I don't. Id'd deal 2 at the draft and sign Karlsson LT. Babcocks would love him some Keith.

Agreed that it's the change in environment and his reverting to the style he played more his first season, before he and Kane both got a bit repetitive with that pass -> one-timer thing.

Found this interesting - wonder if it was Panarin himself who changed it up or if it was strongly suggested by the coaching staff?

Drew Robertson
@WerenskiWarrior

Its very entertaining reading the tweets of Hawks fans saying Panarin will suck in the playoffs because his One timer from the circles doesnt work then apparently. What they dont know is I think Panarin only used that One timer twice this season 😂 #CBJ

Thank you for your personal attack - i expected it.

No - I do not have a link - I do not recall the source - may have been Powers or the Sun-Times beat reporter. I do remember reading it.

If you want to call it “fake news”, fine - I recognize I can’t confirm a source.
