Eller, Jones and Werenski would be really nice additions to the Blackhawks
- BetweenTheDots

How did another ex Blackhawk look tonight - Kempny.

For someone who gets a lot of criticism. Orlov played 24:00 TOI.

I see R Murray with 18:00 and Cole 14:00. The better puck mover obviously gets more TOI

The more we discuss Panarin the more the spotlight is put on how bad Bowman has performed. Thanks for the help keeping it alive.

A 3-15 start with seemingly no progress is arguably not quick escalation
- Z3Hawk

More like a 3-15-64 season. Pat foley would call that just 12 games under .500

Article on Colliton's coaching style and success to-date in Rockford on the eve of the playoffs.

My favorite quote:

Of course, looking that far ahead isn't Colliton's nature. There's still plenty to learn.

About himself. About coaching. About getting through to players. And how to keep those players interested -- and motivated -- at all times.

"One formula is not going to work," Colliton said. "Just because something worked yesterday doesn't mean it's going to work today.

"We've got to keep reinventing a new way. Even if it should still work, they might get bored with it. … Part of making progress is repetition, but it's a balance. That's a fun part of the job. Pressure to keep evolving."

Would you trade the 7th overall pick for Jones or Werenski?

Obviously yes. They are better than what you draft except maybe #1 overall. They represent the top dmen at their p position and they are very yoing still.

That is polar opposite of coach Q ..We could use that type of thinking behind the bench NOW !!

Hawks would likely need to throw in either DCat or Schmaltz also for Columbus to even consider that.

We all know that they had to make the Panarin trade or lose him after next year, because of their salary cap crunch. However, it is who they got in return that makes this such a bad trade. They could have received a top two defenseman from some team, or a decent winger plus a top defense prospect.

He was okay, nothing special little twitchy, Orlov and Orpik = bad

Holtby = very good, defense seems to have settled down because of him

How could you say, no
The most desired position or player in the
game today plays for Edmonton. After him you want a two way defenseman who is tough but also skates welll and is solid defensively. Makes good decisions good gap.etc al. And nowadays if that dman can make plays at dpeed instantly without thinking about it or telegraphing it.

Btw if Forsling gets his entire game together that is his biggest attribute. He is best on the team at it...and he is in Rockford. That is straight from wiz btw.

Anyway i take that burly dman like S Jones, or teo way dmen Doughty, Werenski. Somrone drafted at #7 overall might turn out real good, but certainly not more valuable than the dmen aforementioned.

No that was not including Forsling. But Blackhawks hope that a Forsling, Jokiharju, Mitchell would become a #2. Too early now but none of them are seennas a #1. The steady with some edge to their game are Hillman, Gilbert maybe, Carlsson. Those arecthe #3 - #6 type. Tuulola lets see how he does. Snuggerud lets see how well he plays pudefense because he is just third pair type but verupy good offensively. Kyrs has to be same place Snuggerud fits but with caveat that both develop their game, the
defensive side.

I would like to go with those guys but with premiere dmen in this draft, Bowman has to go defense first. In numbers game some of the highly rated guys will stick.

Oh how i lament not taking one of those top forwards.

The tough part is that it has to be a guy that fits into Q's rationale.

He certainly wont make any adjustments for the player no matter how talented they may be.

Can we stop this kind of discussion? DCat and/or Schmaltz are NEVER going to be involved in a trade - NEVER - not for anyone.

It’s a great question, that’s what kind of question it is.

What kind of question is your question that is questioning my question?
