I know some of us have unrealistic expectations but I'm just looking forward to a group of our prospects together in Utica working on building chemistry

Me too. So many story lines and new faces with loads of skill. This is why I put Palmu on that list. He's going to be the kid who causes controversy in camps. He's tenacious and skilled... great wheels but a controversial size. There will be two camps on the ceiling of this kid's progress/potential for sure. Going to be fun and even if he doesnt make the Canuck's in the future, he'll probably be a fun player for Utica.

I don't know what just happened but a linesman just went down and seems to have a knee injury. 48 seconds left in the period in CLB WSH game.

He just slightly caught a players skater with his and down he went hard.

Yup..Fell back with leg planted. Quite the comeback for CBJ. Down 3-1...Now 4-3 lead after 2.

Salo said he's got a lot of work to do defensively to become an nhler but he's a skilled young guy obviously. Potentially a great pick for Benning.

He's still young, hopefully Cull and Johnson can help him develop properly

Palmu actually had a great season in Finland, i believe he was 2nd to only Vesalainan in 20&U scoring- id say you might wanna reconsider Lockwood actually, two major surgeries, the current one expected to miss 6-9 months...he's 19 and was only having a mediocre season to begin with. thats a long time to be away from the game at that age, huge setback in development.

im not saying palmu hasnt been good this season im saying its in a less physically demanding league with the large ice. Im just not sold he can be good in the nhl. Sure it can happen but considering these factors....

havent followed lockwood much I just recall others making good comments on his play.

Im more interested in seeing what brisois, brassard and gunarsson can bring

Palmu already spent 3 seasons on NA ice, he's a long shot for the NHL but i'm not writing him off until he spends a few seasons in Utica

Brassard plays less defence then feelings did. Palmu likes the rough stuff. He's a little tank.

Wow, calling for snow and a lot of it north of me. 25cm Ft St John. Dragon Lake is usually crawling with American fly fishermen by now and there is 20 inches of ice instead and everyone still ice fishing it. Only once in my 13 years here has it gone past April 15 and this year looks like early May which I've never seen.

When I lived around 100 Mile, early may was normal but that is 1500 feet higher. North and south of me spring is way ahead... usually the other way around. Qtown got the poopy end of the stick this time.

That's funny because I think the Leafs are the only team in the east that could have lost to them in the first round last year and they did.
